Big Movers: Seatrium and SIA Fall, CityDev and Keppel Climb
Singapore stocks opened mixed on Wednesday (29 July).
$SIA(C6L.SI)$ fell more than 4% after reporting its first quarterly loss in four years due to losses associated with Air India and fuel-price volatility.
This lifted the SIA 5x Short DLC by about 20%, while the SIA 5x Long DLC fell a similar magnitude.
Meanwhile, $Seatrium Ltd(5E2.SI)$ declined by as much as 11% in early trading—its largest intraday fall since April 2025—following a price-target downgrade by JPMorgan. The decline came two trading days after the stock recorded its largest one-day percentage gain.
Amplifying the move, the Seatrium 5x Long DLC sank close to 55%. There is currently no Seatrium Short DLC available for trading.
Among DLC-covered Singapore-listed counters, the top gainers included Keppel (+2%), Citydev (+1.2%), and CapitaLand (+1.1%).
Upcoming earnings releases include Keppel on 30 July, $DBS(D05.SI)$ on 6 August, and $UOB(U11.SI)$ and $OCBC Bank(O39.SI)$ on 7 August.
Ahead of earnings, investors can consider the Long and Short DLCs for an efficient way to obtain Leveraged & Inverse Exposure and express their directional view on Singapore, HK, and U.S. single stocks and indices.
