Commonwealth Bank of Australia (ASX:CBA) reported a cash net profit after tax of $10.98 billion for the twelve months ended June 30, representing a 7% increase compared to the previous financial year.

The financial result was supported by lending volume growth across home and business products alongside a broadly stable underlying net interest margin.

Full-year Statutory NPAT grew 8% year-over-year to $10.91 billion, while operating income increased 6%, supported by customer and volume growth and a broadly stable underlying net interest margin.

Net interest margin stood at 2.05% as of June 30, while the common equity tier 1 ratio was at 12.0% on APRA level 2.

"CBA enters FY27 with leading customer relationships, a broader franchise and a strong balance sheet," said Commonwealth Bank CEO Matt Comyn.

Operating expenses increased by 6% to $2.4 billion due to higher inflation and ongoing investments in customer service, technology, and cybersecurity protection.

The company stated that it enters the 2027 financial year with a strong balance sheet and a focus on maintaining discipline in volume and margin choices.

The board also determined a final dividend of $2.70 per share, taking the total dividend for the full year to $5.50 per share.

Following the announcement, the Commonwealth Bank share price was down at $173.92.

The lender grew at or above system growth rates across all five core domestic product categories during the period.
