Robo.ai Inc. Announces Appointment of Wang Hao, Senior Executive Officer of UAE Independent Digital Asset Custodian Changer.ae, as Independent Director
ABU DHABI, UAE, August 20, 2026 — $Robo.ai Inc(AIIO)$ today announced the appointment of Mr. Wang Hao, Senior Executive Officer of Changer.ae, an independent digital asset custodian in the UAE, as an independent director of the Company’s board of directors (the "Board"), effective immediately. Mr. Wang will also serve as a member of the Board’s Strategy Committee, Audit Committee, and Compensation and Nomination Committee. The Board has determined that Mr. Wang satisfies the independence requirements under the applicable Nasdaq listing rules and the rules of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (the "SEC").
Mr. Wang, a Singaporean national, brings more than 20 years of experience across finance and technology, spanning investment banking, global macro hedge funds, family offices, fintech and digital assets. He is Senior Executive Officer of Changer.ae. As an independent digital asset custodian in the UAE, Changer.ae is regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) of Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) and holds a Financial Services Permission (FSP) covering regulated activities including digital asset custody and dealing in investments as agent.
Mr. Wang previously served as Chief Operating Officer of SGTOX, a Singapore-based digital asset platform, where he advanced the compliant digitalization of real-world assets and founded the Asia-Pacific Compliant Asset Tokenization Alliance, serving as its Secretary-General. He also served as Chief Operating Officer of MetaBank, with responsibility for cross-border financial technology solutions.
Mr. Wang began his career in investment banking, serving in the trading divisions of Nomura and Citi, based in Tokyo and Hong Kong. He is a CFA charterholder and a Chartered Fellow of the Global FinTech Institute. Trilingual in English, Mandarin and Japanese, he holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Materials Science and Engineering from Tsinghua University and a master’s degree in Materials Engineering from the University of Tokyo.
