Fund and money invested in Asia will stay for a long time, if Asia is at current situation. (Unlikely to change much). With Singapore to host the next Asian Chair, Asia will be the Marget for the world funding safe heaven.
Singapore expansion comes at the best time and perfect opportunity.
Tourism will increase the spring effect for all Asian.
With Neighboring hubs (like Thailand, Malaysia, or Dubai) are actively loosening visa restrictions and building massive entertainment complexes to capture the exact same pool of global funding.
The expansion comes at much needed time.
