Will Google's nuclear bet control our AI future? Alphabet signed a 20-year PPA with Constellation Energy for 890 MW of new capacity from upgraded reactors on the PJM grid, plus a 15-year deal for 2,700 MW from the existing fleet.

Constellation will invest more than $4.3B to modernize 11 nuclear units across six sites, sustaining 4,400 roles and creating 7,200 construction jobs. This is how hyperscalers secure carbon-free, domestic baseload power for AI scale without relying on intermittent renewables or imported energy.

First uprates target the grid by 2028.
