From Learning to Practice: YXT Helps Genki Forest Explore AI-Powered Intelligent Productivity
Recently, Genki Forest partnered with YXT.com Group Holding Limited ( $云学堂(YXT)$ ) to introduce AI-powered role-play training, transforming real business scenarios into interactive environments where employees can repeatedly practice, receive feedback, and improve. The collaboration explores a new approach to moving from experience transfer to scalable capability development.
For fast-growing consumer companies, helping new employees quickly adapt to frontline business is critical not only for talent development efficiency, but also for preserving and replicating organizational experience. As part of its “Qingmiao Program,” Genki Forest faced the challenge of scaling up training for a growing number of new graduates. Traditional classroom sessions, PowerPoint-based instruction, and manual role-playing could deliver knowledge, but were limited in providing frequent, realistic practice and scaling the experience of high-performing sales employees.
From Real Business Scenarios to AI-Powered Practice
In the fast-moving consumer goods industry, new sales employees need more than product knowledge. They must learn how to build trust with customers, identify needs, address existing issues, and drive business outcomes. These complex situations require communication skills, judgment, and problem-solving abilities that are difficult to fully develop through classroom learning alone.
To address this challenge, YXT and Genki Forest analyzed real business cases and transformed a common scenario — handling historical issues during merchant visits — into a structured AI role-play program. The scenario was broken down into five key stages: opening communication, identifying needs, clarifying issues, designing solutions, and advancing toward cooperation.
During training, AI simulates real merchants through voice interaction and dynamic follow-up questions, recreating the complexity of actual business conversations. New employees adjust their strategies throughout the interaction and complete the full sales process. The system evaluates performance across areas such as logical expression, communication skills, and problem-solving, while providing feedback to help employees continuously improve through a cycle of “practice, feedback, optimization, and re-practice.”
The value of this approach goes beyond introducing a new training tool. It transforms experience that was previously passed down through individual business mentors into reusable AI-powered practice scenarios, allowing new employees to gain more hands-on experience before entering the field and enabling companies to better preserve and replicate valuable business expertise.
From Training Results to Capability Insights: Making Growth Observable
During the program, nearly 100 new graduates participated in AI-powered practice sessions. Each participant completed an average of 2.1 training rounds, with a 100% completion rate, an average score of 80.26, a passing rate of 94%, and 54% of participants achieving scores above 80.
Data showed that many participants improved their performance in the second round of training, demonstrating the value of continuous feedback in helping employees identify gaps and refine their approaches.
More importantly, AI role-play enables companies to observe employee performance in specific business scenarios and identify strengths and development areas across communication, decision-making, and business judgment. Compared with relying solely on subjective observations from mentors, these process-based insights provide more structured data to support future talent development.
Through AI technology, the company was able to conduct practical training for more than one hundred new employees simultaneously, improving training efficiency while providing HR teams and business managers with more targeted insights for employee development.
From a Training Program to Organizational Capability: AI Driving Intelligent Productivity
Genki Forest’s practice demonstrates a new possibility for AI in enterprise environments: business experience can be structured into AI scenarios, workplace capabilities can be developed through repeated practice and feedback, and employee performance can be transformed into analyzable data.
Behind this shift is a broader transformation in how organizations build capabilities. Traditionally, valuable business experience was often concentrated among individual employees, with knowledge transfer relying heavily on mentoring and long-term practice. Today, AI can transform part of that experience into reusable scenarios and help more employees access and develop those capabilities through continuous training.
This approach aligns with YXT’s Intelligent Productivity strategy. YXT continues to integrate intelligent knowledge systems with AI capabilities, bringing enterprise knowledge and business experience into real workplace scenarios and connecting knowledge management, capability development, and business workflows.
From this perspective, the value of AI role-play goes beyond improving training efficiency. It represents a new approach to building continuously evolving organizational capabilities: turning individual experience into organizational resources, making workplace capabilities observable, and providing data-driven support for knowledge replication and talent development.
As this model expands into areas such as customer service, management, and operations, AI is expected to become increasingly embedded in daily business processes, helping organizations move from reliance on individual experience toward reusable knowledge, scalable capabilities, and sustainable growth. This represents an important step in the evolution of AI from an assistive tool into enterprise intelligent productivity.
