$GSL 20261120 37.0 PUT$ GSL — what's driving the recent move

Short answer: the recent move is a pullback, not a rally.

Global Ship Lease (GSL)

watchlist

has fallen from ~USD 45.19 on 2026-10-13 to USD 40.85 (as of 2026-10-21, intraday), about -9.6% in five sessions and -12.3% from its 52-week high of USD 46.57 (2026-09-17). The decline looks catalyst-light on the company side and more like a combination of a shipping-sector de-rating plus a run of insider sales — while the fundamental news flow over the same window was actually constructive.

12.3% off the high still looks normal for shipping beta, not some company-specific break. The insider sales headline just made the de-rating feel nastier lol
