It takes time for DTC streaming to be profitable. DTC can only drive up extra revenue ortake away market share from Netflix. But they will have a difficult time, positioning themselves as a global streaming platform. Netflix has the upper hand due to first mover advantage.
Iger needs to strategise his chess move properly! The more you focus on DTC, the moremessy it gets.
