I ma in the DEMO account and I set-up a 2 leg options trade for AMZN. Got notification "This symbol is not supported on Tiger Trade Desktop Demo Account".
I am in the DEMO account and I set-up an options trade with 3-4 legs and I am seeing the notificaiton "The Prime Account does not currently support this trade on Tiger Trade Desktop".
I am new to options and trying to understand the concepts and also how options work on tiger brokers as mine is a small account. I heard tiger brokers settles stock options in stocks and index options in cash. I just want to understand how things work. Say, I put up a trade with following legs: BUY 1x 395.00 CALL (premium = $ 26.43) SELL 2x 385.00 CALL (premium = $ 30.50) BUY 1x 375.00 CALL (premium = $36.00) At the outset, this will be a - $ 143 (-2643+3050+3050-3600). This is a small amount. My small account can afford this. Q1: Is only 143 taken from the account or is it only settled at expiry or when trade is closed. Q2: Any other margin requirements to put the trade on? If at expiry, the price is $ 370 (below all the strikes), then all calls are worthless and you loose $ 1

Option 0TDE $SPX with help from $QQQ. DAY 42. Fund size at 15k, blowed it then to 30k. Losses Limit for today was numbness, this is deadly leathal!. 8 trades done with 1st trade blowed off 15k fund size. Execution is very important to take profit so does cut loss. A great lesson learn today in trade interval. From trade 4th onwards better control of execution managed to put myself back in control manner. ITM+2 onwards help achieved target better. Today small gain of +2155.46. Small small drops filled the bucket. Friday always give my hard time, but today I managed to learn about circle of my trade. Maintaining Green day on Friday will keep me free from depression. Hahaha. Demo Account help discover oneself best!
Option $SPX 0TDE Day38. 5trades done. Fund size 30k, loss limit 5k. 1st 4 was GREEN, last trade with small RED. Total made with 11210.39. Day 37 help me understand my mistakes. I am doing better on chart, trade records, discipline and lastly Loss Limit Control. Awareness of my emotion is key, always stay humble
Day 36 0TDE $SPX OPTION. Today I trade with fund size of 30k max. Total of 25 trades. 1st trade Loss with 11536.45, then everything went south till ttrade 13th. It was all FOMO and revenge trade, with Total Losses of 17830.91. From 13th trade onwards, I trade with balance of 30k (11k+), started gather myself, trade with caution. Slowly accumulated back money from the MM(market maker). Best trade of the day was the last trade. Was down till over 9k, then picking up slowly. Then, something comes to mind, "I can hold losses till 9k even most of the time over 10k, why not I wait till 10k profit?" The ride was crazy, tonne of pain for ichy hand while holding for about 52 mins. Lastly, managed to close with huge Green, 16038, just before the reverse started. F
#$SPX #0TDE #OPTION Day 35. Fund size 1st 5k, 2nd add 5k then 3th 15k. Managed to hit good while market play the circle within 1/2 hr. 7 trades quick sculpting in and out. All GREEN. Profit of 6141.28. Using Demo account to sharpen myself. And most of all, I don't hold overnight.
Day 33. Did 8 trades today. 1st started with 5k fund and target with +1k profit. Till 6th trades was green with 2k++ profit. Then got stucked with crazy hopium. 7th trade was crazy, from fund 5k to 10k then 20k. Hold for over 1hr, ton of pain with losses over 10k. So naive with hoping. Lucky circle change cut losses at 4k and Reenter at different Strike Price on Put side, at Strike Price with 10 contract and added more to 20 contract, closed trade with over $3++ profit per contract. End of the day with ++4477.14 profit. Yup, never bet on hope,! Close trade and Reenter the trade with the circle! Most of all, Fund Allocation, plot accordingly. Being a trader isn't taking most of the money from the table, small drops fill the 🪣. Pull Back on ATH $SPX is always

Investment Reflection on the Vertical Put Option Strategy for Ford
Overview On June 5, 2024, I initiated a vertical put option strategy on Ford $Ford(F)$ with a maturity date of July 19, 2024. This involved selling put options at a strike price of $11.82 and simultaneously buying put options at a lower strike price of $10.82. This strategy, often referred to as a bull put spread, allowed me to collect an option premium of $26 per contract. I decided to close the position early on June 10, 2024, paying an option premium of $14 per contract, resulting in a net gain. This reflection explores the reasoning behind this strategy, the performance of Ford, and the outcomes of the investment. Here I am... a loyal follower of @OptionsTutor Shorting $NVDA 20240607 1270.0 CALL$ with strike price of $1270, expiring on 7 June. This means I'm basically betting that Nvidia's stock price won't reach $1270 by the split date 10 June. Right now, the stock price is already close to $1200, so it's a bit of a gamble.
