The Road to Million Dollars | Holding Through Volatility with Supply, Demand, and Scarcity
In 2025, a growing number of Tiger users achieved million-dollar investment returns. Tiger launched The Road to Million Dollars series to get closer to investors who have already reached annual million-dollar gains, as well as those who are actively pursuing the million-dollar goal and have achieved annual returns exceeding USD 100,000—listening to their stories of how they think, persevere, and grow. For Tiger, investing is more than just profit and loss figures; it is a journey from aspiration to achievement. Through these stories, we hope to inspire more people to set their own investment goals and turn “a million dollars” from a distant dream into a visible, attainable milestone.Mr. Liu is the kind of investor whose day job looks stable, but whose trading style is anything but conservat
A year when “boring” got exciting again. The STI was up ~22% YTD by late December, helped by a stronger risk mood and renewed attention on Singapore equities. What did Tigers watch the most? In 2025, it largely came down to three themes: bank dividends + rate path, big corporate actions, and steady cashflow names.1) $DBS(D05.SI)$ +36.42% YTDDBS stayed in the spotlight because it combined record-scale profitability with a visible leadership transition. The bank’s 3Q25 profit before tax hit a record SGD 3.48b, and it kept dividends attractive (including a 75-cent quarterly dividend in late 2025).The market also priced in the next chapter: Tan Su Shan took over as CEO on March 28, 2025, and DBS’ aggressive AI push became a headline story.2)
$Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ took a dump on Friday as the market continued its slow grind upward. I believe price will consolidate between $500 and $465. Right now tsla is trading at $470. When market opens later if price drops to around $465 that would be a great opportunity to go long. I plan to sell a bull put spread to collect premium as price consolidates with a stop loss below the 20 sma. What's your trade plan for this week?
Precious metals plummet, how to use options to get on the car?
In early trading on December 29th, Beijing time, precious metals fluctuated sharply again, especially the short-term sharp rise and fall of international silver prices. After breaking through the US $83/oz mark in early trading, they quickly turned down, with the maximum intraday fluctuation reaching about 9%.In the past two trading days, the volatility of silver prices has been significantly enlarged. Last Friday (December 26th), the silver price rose by about 10% in a single day, the largest single-day increase since 2008. So far in 2025, the largest annual increase in silver prices has exceeded 185%. Even if it falls back from the early high, the year-to-year increase in silver prices is still around 170%, and it is expected to achieve its best annual performance since 1979.Driven by ti
$Tiger Brokers(TIGR)$ The deepest lesson for me was $Berkshire Hathaway(BRK.B)$ . It was a very good example depicting how traders and investors are behaving nowadays. Despite the initial bullish sentiment during pre tariff days, the shares didn't sustain the ATH as investors confidence swings & market sentiment swings towards tech. However, that doesn't mean that the company operations / financial sentiment / direction have changed. It's purely the uncertainty that it's drawing the impact. Lesson learnt : - Noises & uncertainty can create a huge impact especially on an already uncertain market. - Cash moats are the king. Always be prepared. - Never lose mone

2025 Recap: The Opportunities I Regret Missing — and the Lessons the Market Etched Into Me 📉📈
2025 will go down as one of those years that felt emotionally longer than it was on the calendar. It was a year where headlines moved markets faster than fundamentals, where fear and euphoria alternated with dizzying speed, and where the line between discipline and impulse was tested almost daily. From Trump’s return to center stage and the policy uncertainty that followed 🇺🇸, to artificial intelligence reshaping capital allocation at a pace I had never seen before 🤖, to gold quietly rewriting its own history while equity investors were distracted by megacaps — 2025 was not just a trading year. It was a psychological endurance test. Looking back, the question that matters most isn’t how much was made, but what was learned, what was missed, and what scars were earned along the way. ⸻

$Meta Platforms, Inc.(META)$ It’s been almost two months since that strange Q3 earnings gap-down, where a massive $16 billion one-time tax charge from the "One Big Beautiful Bill Act" made the profits look like they were in a freefall. Even though the actual business was firing on all cylinders, the market took the stock on a downward slide, leaving many to wonder if the recovery was ever coming. But like a slow-moving merry-go-round, the share price has spent the last eight weeks carving out a bottom and climbing its way back to that exact gap-down level. Watching this circular journey confirms why I prefer the steady rhythm of selling premium over the stress of the ride. While the stock price did a ful
