K-Yong Kan's Playbook: Candlestick Patterns – and Why One Timeframe Is Never Enough

Speaker: K-Yong Kan, Investment Representative at Tiger Brokers, walks through the candlestick patterns he has actually used, then shows why the same price action can look different on every timeframe. [About the Speaker] K-Yong Kan is an Investment Representative at Tiger Brokers who built the Trading 101 series to help clients learn trading and investing step by step. This is the third of four recaps from Part 2a, Chart Patterns & Candlesticks. [The Hook] Candlesticks have patterns of their own, and there are many of them. K-Yong chose to cover only the commonly referenced ones he has used over the years. His bigger point, though, was that a pattern on a single candle or a single timeframe is never the full story. K-Yong Kan's Playbook: Chart Patterns – Reversal, Continuation and Bidirectional

Speaker: K-Yong Kan, Investment Representative at Tiger Brokers, explains that the long list of chart patterns really comes down to three families, and how to judge each one by where it forms, what confirms it and where its potential target sits. [About the Speaker] K-Yong Kan is an Investment Representative at Tiger Brokers who built the Trading 101 series to help clients learn trading and investing step by step. This is the second of four recaps from Part 2a, Chart Patterns & Candlesticks. [The Hook] Double top, bull flag, cup and handle... the names can make charts feel like a foreign language. K-Yong's reassurance: it may sound like a lot, but there are really only three groups of chart patterns, and all of them come from one thing, which is how the crowd's behaviour consolidates o

K-Yong Kan's Playbook: Reading a Chart Before You Trade It

Speaker: K-Yong Kan, Investment Representative at Tiger Brokers, opens Trading 101 Part 2a by showing first-timers how to read the three main chart types, why support and resistance form, and how trendlines turn them into moving levels. [About the Speaker] K-Yong Kan is an Investment Representative at Tiger Brokers, the front-line contact for clients with questions about markets, trading and their accounts. After working with clients who wanted to learn but weren't sure which information to trust, he built the Trading 101 series to teach trading and investing skills step by step. Part 2a, Chart Patterns & Candlesticks, sits in the series' Technical Analysis module. [The Hook] Information about trading is everywhere, and it is hard to know what is worth listening to. K-Yong Kan's Playbook: Putting It All Together – A Trade Idea That Wasn't Taken

Speaker: K-Yong Kan, Investment Representative at Tiger Brokers, closes Trading 101 Part 2a with the charting tools on Tiger Trade and a real SPY example where the best decision was to wait. [About the Speaker] K-Yong Kan is an Investment Representative at Tiger Brokers who built the Trading 101 series to help clients learn trading and investing step by step. This is the last of four recaps from Part 2a, Chart Patterns & Candlesticks. [The Hook] After chart types, levels, patterns and timeframes, K-Yong walked the room through a real example from around late August or early September. The twist: the lesson was a trade he did not take. [First, Learn to Draw It] K-Yong's point: all the theory only helps if you can mark it on a chart. [Winning Trade] A $38.8K Gain on Tesla. Sell or Hold?

Tesla gave investors plenty to react to this week. Elon Musk floated a potential SpaceX merger, then Tesla beat quarterly revenue and adjusted earnings estimates. The stock still fell more than 3% after hours. That leaves investors with a tough choice: take profits now, or hold for more gains? $Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ Congratulations to @DaveYap for a $20,498 gain on Tesla, and @thisishanong for a $38,805 gain! Why did Tesla fall after beating expectations? Tesla reported revenue of $28.05 billion, above the $27.9 billion expected. Adjusted earnings were 48 cents per share, beating the 43-cent forecast from analysts polled by LSEG. But sales

I see the 50% approval threshold as a significant hurdle. Even if Elon Musk supports the $Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ $SpaceX(SPCX)$ merger, he still needs to convince shareholders that the deal will create real long-term value. This makes the outcome far from certain. Personally, I think valuation and potential dilution are the key concerns. SpaceX’s AI growth and Starlink business are attractive, but Tesla shareholders need to understand what they will receive in return. Strong business synergies alone do not guarantee a good deal if the valuation or exchange ratio is unfavourable. I am optimistic about Musk’s AI ecosystem

TOPskythelimit: I care most about the post-merger EPS impact. If SpaceX AI and Starlink cannot drive over 10% of combined profit within a few years, the exchange ratio will be hard to justify.

Cummins (CMI) — The Power Behind the Real Economy

Not every growth opportunity comes from a technology company. Sometimes, the opportunity lies with businesses supplying the engines, power systems and equipment that keep industries moving. Today’s stock to watch is $Cummins(CMI)$  ⚙️ What Does Cummins Do? Cummins manufactures engines, power-generation equipment and related components used in trucks, buses, construction equipment and industrial applications. It also provides parts and services that support customers throughout the life of their equipment. Its business connects to several important areas of the economy, including freight transportation, infrastructure development and industrial activity. 🔍 Three Things Worth Watching 1️⃣ Demand beyond traditional engines Cummins is expandi

Anthropic IPO: The AI Gold Rush Gets Its Biggest Test Yet? 🚀

The AI investment boom could be approaching another major milestone. Anthropic, the company behind Claude, could publicly file its IPO registration statement as early as Friday, according to a Yahoo Finance report citing three people familiar with its plans. If the company proceeds with a public listing, it could become one of the most closely watched IPOs in the history of the technology industry. But this is about more than another AI company entering the stock market. Anthropic’s debut could help answer a much bigger question: Are investors still willing to pay a premium for AI growth when the cost of building that growth is enormous? 🤖 1. Why Anthropic’s IPO Matters Anthropic has established itself as a major player in the rapidly developing AI industry through its Claude family of mod

Meta: Record Ad Growth, Billion-Dollar AI Bill — Who Wins? 💰

$Meta Platforms, Inc.(META)$ is proving that its advertising business still has plenty of momentum. But as its AI ambitions grow, investors face a difficult question: how much spending can the company sustain before the cost of building the future starts weighing on today’s valuation? Meta shares rose just 0.47% following its latest Q3 results, despite strong revenue growth and a slightly better-than-expected outlook for Q4. The modest reaction suggests that investors are looking beyond the headline earnings numbers and paying closer attention to cash flow, capital expenditure and the long-term return on AI investment. 📈 1. $Tesla Motors(TSLA)$  Tesla stock has been bouncing off the moving average for weeks now. It bounced off the hundred day moving average as a rejection, 10 bounce of the 20 day moving average as support. Right now, it is near the 50 day moving average, can it hold as support? Today Tesla will be revealing the roadster. While I am very excited for the event, I don't think that it will move the stock much. The roadster is kind of a niche product, and will only add a small percentage to Tesla's revenue. Margins however, should be quite high. Given Elon's reputation, I don't think they will start the production of the roadster until at least end of 2028. What are your thoughts on Tesla's roadster event?

$Apple(AAPL)$   Apple received a lower rating from Loop Capital on Tuesday as the firm questioned whether the company can recover planned iPhone shipment cuts, according to a analyst note. Analyst Ananda Baruah lowered Apple's rating to Hold from Buy and reduced his price target to $330 from $370. He also cut his normalized earnings-per-share estimate to $11 from $12. Loop Capital had previously expected Apple to recover much of a roughly 10% reduction in iPhone shipments for the September and December quarters by 2027. The firm now sees less scope for that recovery, raising concerns that weaker demand may be contributing to the cuts rather than supply constraints alone. The outlook also faces pressure from ris

💸 Meta’s AI Gamble: Record Growth, Rising Costs and a Cash-Flow Challenge

$Meta Platforms, Inc.(META)$  delivered another strong revenue performance, with third-quarter revenue reportedly rising 26% year over year to $64.6 billion. Its fourth-quarter revenue guidance also slightly exceeded expectations. Yet the market faces a more complicated story than a simple earnings beat. Meta is growing its advertising business, expanding its AI assistant and investing heavily in computing infrastructure. At the same time, its investment programme is putting pressure on free cash flow, while management expects costs to continue rising. The big question is whether Meta can turn its enormous AI spending into enough additional profit to justify the investment. For shareholders, revenue growth is encouraging. But the longer-

🚀 Nvidia’s Next Big Move: Could Telecom Networks Unlock Another AI Boom?

$NVIDIA(NVDA)$ rose 2.54% after CEO Jensen Huang outlined a broader vision for the AI economy, spanning energy, computing infrastructure, AI factories, models and applications. One part of this vision deserves more attention: telecommunications. Most AI investment discussions focus on massive data centres packed with advanced GPUs. But as AI becomes part of everyday services, could the next opportunity involve bringing computing closer to users through telecom networks? Nvidia’s next growth opportunity may not be limited to building bigger data centres. It could also involve expanding where AI computing happens. 📡 1. 🔥 SMCI’s $19.5B Revenue Target: Is the AI Server Boom Finally Paying Off?

$SUPER MICRO COMPUTER INC(SMCI)$  jumped 9.55%, while AMD gained 3.36%, after Super Micro raised its fiscal Q1 2027 revenue guidance to $18.5 billion–$19.5 billion and lifted its gross-margin outlook to 12.0%–12.5%. The market clearly liked the announcement. But behind the impressive revenue numbers lies a more important question: Can Super Micro turn the AI boom into sustainable profits? 🚗Tesla’s $1.531B Cash Flow Surprise

Can It Support $Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ as Profits Fall? October 22, 2026 | Market reference: October 21 U.S. close. Price scenarios are illustrative. Hey Tigers! 🐯 Tesla delivered a quarter that gives both bulls and bears something to work with. Cash generation recovered. Profits remained under pressure. And the potential SpaceX merger left investors waiting for more detail. TSLA closed October 21 at $386.47, up 3.4%, according to Barron’s reporting of FactSet data. Following the earnings release and conference call, AP reported an after-hours decline of 3.2%. These describe different trading periods; the after-hours move was a reporting-time snapshot. [2, 3] Can stronger cash generation support Tesla’s valuation while investors wait
🚗Tesla’s $1.531B Cash Flow Surprise
TOP苏36: B. A Recovery in Operating Margins Tesla's challenge is converting its investments into sustainable profitability. Positive free cash flow of $1.53 billion is encouraging, but the 62% year-over-year decline and operating margin contraction from 5.8% to 2.6% tell a complicated story. Cutting capital expenditure guidance by $5 billion may ease cash pressure, but cannot guarantee stronger earnings. I would prioritize margin recovery over merger speculation. AI, autonomy and robotics could unlock long-term value, but investors need measurable milestones, not ambitious promises. A potential SpaceX transaction adds uncertainty until valuation, dilution and deal terms become clear. My conclusion:Tesla deserves credit for cash resilience, not an automatic valuation premium. Until margins recover and new growth businesses demonstrate commercial returns, I remain cautiously neutral. The next rally must be earned through earnings, not headlines. @AI_FocusedTrader [你懂的]

Iggy’s Journal: Indonesia’s Stocks Fell 11% to 12% in a Day. What Does an MSCI Label Change Mean for Your Funds? Thu 22 Oct 2026 | Morning The Numbers Indonesia’s stocks fell 11% to 12% in a day.
