Chagee Soars on Debut: Take Profits or Hold on Tight?

Chagee went public and surged 15% on Thursday. However, the stock closed lower than its open price. ------------ Can Chagee replicate the surge of Mixue group? Or repeat the down trend like Nayuki? Is the market expectations too high to fulfill? What's your target price for Chagee?

$Chagee Holdings Limited(CHA)$ Yes, Chagee is up 15%, but that’s exactly why I’m considering trimming my position. Valuations are getting stretched, and the market might be getting ahead of the fundamentals. Tea trends can be fickle, and competition is heating up fast.Rather than get caught in the hype, I’d rather lock in profits and wait for a better re-entry.A smart investor knows when to sip—and when to step back.
$Chagee Holdings Limited(CHA)$ A 15% jump is great—but sometimes, strength is a signal to take profits. The market might be overreacting to short-term news, and chasing peaks is risky. Valuations could already be pricing in overly optimistic future growth, and any hiccup could trigger a reversal. I’m not saying Chagee isn’t a good company, but smart investing is about discipline. This rally gives a great opportunity to rebalance or de-risk, especially if your position has grown overweight. I’d rather bank the gains now and wait for a better entry point than hold through possible turbulence. For me, trimming here makes strategic sense.

I’m quite intrigued by Chagee’s IPO. As the largest premium freshly made tea brand in China, its rapid expansion and growing popularity are impressive. The brand has clearly struck a chord with younger consumers who value quality and lifestyle experiences, which gives it strong potential in a growing market. That said, I’m approaching this with cautious optimism. The valuation is ambitious, and while the brand is trending well, competition in China’s beverage space is intense. I’d like to see how Chagee maintains its premium image and strong momentum without overextending. If I participate, it would be more for long-term potential than a quick trade. I’m interested in how the company continues to scale, especially with talk of international expansion. It feels like the kind of brand that c
$Chagee Holdings Limited(CHA)$ Chagee’s IPO could mark the next breakout in China’s booming tea beverage industry. The brand stands out with a premium image, strong store aesthetics, and a loyal urban customer base. Unlike low-cost chains, Chagee has carved out a niche targeting young professionals willing to pay for quality. The Chinese tea market still has huge growth potential, especially in lower-tier cities. With smart expansion and brand control, Chagee could replicate or even surpass the success of Nayuki and Mixue. Investors are looking for consumer-facing growth stories rooted in cultural identity, and Chagee fits that profile well. If the IPO valuation is reasonable, it could attract both institutional and retail
$Chagee Holdings Limited(CHA)$ I’m skeptical about the hype surrounding Chagee’s IPO. While the brand looks trendy and has strong aesthetics, the premium tea market in China is overcrowded and highly competitive. Past IPOs like Nayuki showed us how quickly post-listing sentiment can fade once financial realities kick in. Chagee may have style, but whether it has sustainable profits is unclear. Store expansion is capital-intensive, and customer loyalty in this sector is weak—consumers chase trends fast. Even if revenues are growing, margins might remain thin due to high operating costs. The success of Mixue and others came from low-price mass appeal, not high-end positioning. Unless Chagee shows strong unit economics and di

$Chagee Holdings Limited(CHA)$ take profit. I don't believe their products
$Chagee Holdings Limited(CHA)$  Chinese tea firm Chagee has raised $411 million by setting the price of its shares at $28 each in its initial public offering in the United States, the company said in a statement on Thursday. Chagee sold about 14.7 million American depository shares at the top of the $26 to $28 per share range flagged to investors when the deal was launched. At that price, Chagee is valued at $5.1 billion, ahead of its Nasdaq debut, according to its regulatory filings.
$Chagee Holdings Limited(CHA)$  BULLISH! lets goooooo chagee to the moon!
$Chagee Holdings Limited(CHA)$ While Chagee’s IPO could certainly offer growth potential, there’s a risk that it might not replicate the explosive success seen by China’s major tea beverage brands. The market is becoming saturated with similar offerings, and while Chagee has its unique appeal, it could struggle to differentiate itself long-term. The IPO may experience an initial surge driven by hype, but investors should be cautious—sustaining that momentum can be challenging. As we've seen with other IPOs, the initial excitement doesn't always translate into sustained growth. It's important to evaluate the brand's scalability and competitive edge before jumping in.

Since Chagee, a Chinese premium tea chain, filed for its U.S. IPO on March 25, 2025, aiming to list on Nasdaq under the ticker "CHA," let’s break down the key factors to assess its potential as an investment. Chagee has shown impressive growth. In 2024, its net revenue nearly tripled to $1.71 billion USD (12.41 billion Chinese yuan) from $638 million USD (4.64 billion yuan) the previous year, with net income surging 213.3% to $344.5 million USD (2.51 billion yuan). Its gross merchandise value (GMV) also jumped 172.9% to $4.05 billion USD (29.46 billion yuan), reflecting strong consumer demand. The company operates 6,440 teahouses globally as of December 31, 2024, with 6,284 in China, and plans to use IPO proceeds to expand further in China and internationally, including its first U.S. stor
Chagee’s low IPO price and crazy growth make a first-day jump pretty likely—Mixue’s 43% pop shows the hype is real. But with U.S.-China tensions and shaky markets, it might not go wild. I’d bet on a solid start, but don’t hold your breath for a massive rally.

$Chagee Holdings Limited(CHA)$  CHAGEE IPO – Open High or Low? With strong brand presence, global growth, and solid revenue, I expect CHAGEE to open high. But at a $5.1B valuation, short-term volatility is likely as early investors may lock in profits.

I love chagee for the quality ingredients used and its focus on health. At this point, I would not prefer to invest as my preference is still in mixue that can reach the masses with its affordable price point, especially in times of uncertainty like this with a possibility of a recession. I would prefer to watch the potential development of chargee and the stock price movement before considering investing. @rL @SPOT_ON @Kaixiang @DiAngel @Universe宇宙 @Success88

Chagee IPO frenzy is building up. Markets are looking up so it is quite sure Chagee will pop and pop on its first day of debut. This undervalued stock has already gathered serious attention from both retail and institutional investors. Many people like its tea culture and artistic packaging. Thanks @Tiger_SG @icycrystal

I find Chagees rapid growth and strong financial performance impressive, especially its ability to turn profitable so quickly. With a net profit margin of 20.3%, it has outpaced competitors like Mixue and Luckin Coffee, which suggests that its high-end positioning and premium pricing strategy are working. The fact that Chagee focuses on a smaller range of high-quality products rather than frequently launching new flavors also aligns with its goal of being the “Starbucks of the East.” However, while its IPO timing seems favorable given the bullish sentiment around Chinese stocks, I'm cautious about whether it can sustain this profitability in the long run. One concern I have is the decline in same-store sales, which dropped sharply by 18.4% in Q4 2024. This is a red flag because it indicate
