Money or Passion: Which Matters More in Your Stock Trading?

It is said that the dopamine release triggered by stock trading is much higher than that from regular recreational activities. Some people trade stocks purely out of passion, enjoying the sense of achievement and excitement that trading brings. Others trade stocks primarily to make money, as there are alternative side hustles that can also generate income. Of course, these two aspects cannot be entirely separated—it's just the relative importance of each that differs.

No, I don’t trade every day, though I’m always psyched to watch the market. I get pretty absorbed in following market movements, and when I try to predict trends, I sometimes find myself a bit addicted—it’s hard not to get emotionally invested, especially with money on the line [Cry] It can even affect my mood at times. That’s why I’m focusing on improving my risk management and emotional control. My goal is to approach trading with a long-term mindset, as I’m in it to build financial gains over time [Call]

$Tiger Brokers(TIGR)$ I believe passion is the more important aspect in trading. In the book Think and Grow Rich by Napolean Hill, the very 1st lesson is to have a strong desire to be successful. Without passion, we would not be able to last too long on this investment journey, let alone accumulating wealth. At some point, our passion might diminish due to whatever reasonsl so it's up to us to always fan the fire in us to keep us going. Happy trading everyone [Miser]

I don’t try to do trades everyday but I will have some trades in the queue if the right set ups are showing from my screeners. That said, I don’t chase every trade. I’ll let the trades come to me like Animals that walk themselves into traps set by the hunter. My job is to check my trades to make sure they are doing what they are supposed to do and rectify the trades that are not. Part of the excitement is in the wait isn’t it? [Cool]

I don’t trade everyday, not even every week! Not addicted to trading at all. To me, trading is all about making money, not something that I’m passionate about. Trading is to make my money work harder for me and to generate more returns instead of the passive returns from the banks which give miserable returns. I don’t trade for the love of money per se.

$Tiger Brokers(TIGR)$ Definitely MONEY!  I won't call it stock trading as it sound very speculative but I will term it as stock investment - a good old way to accumulate wealth over time.  When you gain the MONEY - that's when you can spend in things that you are passionate about - like travelling, food and contribute to charity.

$Tiger Brokers(TIGR)$ Money primarily is what gets me to trade - the passion is secondary. But due to the markets behaviour and the fact that many stocks in the portfolio don't always consistently make money, passion becomes a necessity to keep one going in the market for the long run [Sly]

I trade to test my skills, money is just an evitable outcome of my skills. I will strike a balance and do not allow trading to consume my time as watching in front of PC may result in me of not observing the big wave coming. @TigerPicks @Tiger_Comments @话题虎 @小虎活动 @CaptainTiger

$Tiger Brokers(TIGR)$ In my opinion Both factors apply. Money is the key factor for the day to day life and growing your lifestyle  and on the other side, passion satisfy our inner peace so that we can gain more motivation and confidence in ourself. 🙏

Nope, I rarely do trading as my goal is more towards investing for long term. However, I do trade time to time for some extra pocket money if time and energy allows
