Just a excuse to buy at lower prices. Barrick has NewCo IPO which they will spin off 20% and hold 80%, so overall valuation of Barrick will go up. They have stock buyback ongoing, they get 1.9B that will that will be use for stock buyback or dividends. Just because ASIC went up , but the Iran war going on for 1/2, and Africa countries are asking for larger shares of the profits, so asic will definitely go up.  Look at the various scenarios or examples when prices go down immediately after a decent quarter, almost all trade much higher within weeks.
