Trump: US Secures Control Of 65 Billion Barrels Of Venezuelan Oil

Trump's Truth Social latest posts08-29

U.S. President Donald Trump announced on social media platform X on August 28 that the United States has entered into an agreement with Venezuela to secure majority control of more than 65 billion barrels of proven oil reserves, calling it "the biggest oil deal in world history" at no cost to American taxpayers.

Trump stated that under his direction, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth worked closely with "Highly Respected Interim President of Venezuela" Delcy Rodriguez, and through a partnership with private business, to complete the transaction. The President claimed the deal "more than doubles American Oil Reserves, greatly increases our Oil Supply, and will substantially lower Gas Prices for all Americans, long into the future," while helping Venezuela toward "Tremendous Success and Great Prosperity."

Trump concluded: "This Transaction will greatly strengthen the already growing relationship between Venezuela and the United States! Thank you for your attention to this groundbreaking matter. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!"

  • Take control at no cost. Sounds like stealing.  Did Venezuela even get a penny for the oil?  Or was it simple stolen at gunpoint?  Unequal treaty signed at gunpoint?

Venezuela nationized (i.e. stole) USA oil company assets in 2007. ConocoPhillips alone lost assets that were worth $10billion in 2007, how much would that be now, $15billion? I suggest you and your TDS buddies in the comments indicate yourselves about who stole the oil in Venezuela before you spout complete imbecile rubbish in future. Your ignorance is off the charts resulting in comments of an idiot. Venezuela owes USA oil companies big time, as ruled by international arbitration courts.

  • John was walking down the street when he saw Tim wearing a  nice watch. John stopped Tim at gunpoint and made a deal. John ended up with a nice watch (at no cost to himself!!) and Tim gets to keep his life. What a fantastic win-win deal. 👍
