In fact, every asset class is doing better than crypto, and you can just about throw a dart at a list of stocks these days and do better than your favorite cryptocurrency token.But that doesn't mean stocks have a smooth ride ahead, as many believe we're heading into a recession early next year. Growth stocks, which led the Nasdaq 100 on a 13-year-long bull market, have lost nearly 30% in 2022, and a potential sharp economic downturn doesn't bode well for a reversal.Some businesses, however, are resilient regardless, and buying them now may reward patient investors with substantial wealth over the long run. The following trio of stocks is an example of companies with far more potential than any cryptocurrency.Image source: Getty Images.ZscalerRecession fears are hurting corporate spending. Cloud-based capital projects are slowing, hurting cloud and software-as-a-service (SaaS) stocks, generally, but cybersecurity-expert Zscaler (ZS -1.49%), in particular.The company's stock tumbled hard the other day after Zscaler reported fiscal first-quarter revenue, earnings, and billings that beat analyst expectations. That's because it gave a forecast that, while still better than Wall Street forecasts, grew at a significantly lower rate than previously.While there are spending headwinds, demand for Zscaler's business remains robust. The company is seeing its sales cycle \"elongating\" -- stretching out over wider periods -- but only because the size of the deals it's closing are getting bigger. That requires more time to scrutinize and review the contracts.Zscaler ended the quarter with over 340 customers that have $1 million or more in annual recovering revenue with it -- a 55% increase from last year. All of the company's customers have been impacted by macroeconomic events, but the low end of its client base actually ended better off than the upper end. As a result, Zscaler sees more opportunities to help customers adopt more products, which will continue to increase its deal size.Zscaler stock is down 57% over the past year, but with the market analysts at Gartner predicting global cybersecurity spending to hit $262 billion by 2026, there's a substantial runway for future growth in this stock.AT&TAT&T's (T 0.68%) narrow focus on its telecom operations to the exclusion of virtually anything else is paying off for investors. It continues to add more customers, while rivals like Verizon are shedding them as the rollout of 5G networks and fiber-optic wired broadband is providing the biggest catalyst for future growth.The telecom giant is well on its way to achieving its goal of reaching over 30 million locations, including businesses, by the end of 2025 with its fiber network, and is doing so without being overly promotional. At a recent analyst conference, AT&T said that as of the end of the third quarter, it could serve 18.5 million consumer locations and approximately 3 million business locations in more than 100 metro areas.COO Jeff McElfresh said AT&T refrained from being \"aggressive\" with deals on Black Friday to attract customers and has not \"been the most aggressive in the market for quite some time.\"That bodes well for profitability and growing free cash flow (FCF), which the company maintains should hit $14 billion this year. That's notable because AT&T's stock is cheap. The telecom trades for seven times trailing earnings and next year's estimates, 1.1 times sales, and a bargain-basement three times the FCF it produces.The company is longer a Dividend Aristocrat after having slashed its payout in half following the spinoff and merger of its entertainment business into Warner Bros Discovery (WBD 1.23%). The dividend, however, still yields a lucrative 5.8% annually. The company's payout ratio is just 41%, so the dividend is much safer now, with room for future growth.Image source: Getty Images.Taiwan SemiconductorTaiwan Semiconductor (TSM -0.40%) is the world's largest semiconductor foundry that manufactures integrated circuits based on designs provided by its clients. Despite the vaunted chip shortage that's still impacting the industry today, Taiwan Semi has not felt the effects as much as its rivals because its customer base is some of the industry's biggest tech companies, and its long-term demand remains \"firmly in place.\"Demand is so strong, in fact, that the company began construction of a $12 billion 5-nanometer chip fabrication plant in Arizona last year and recently said it would be building a second factory in the Grand Canyon State. Due to many of its customers being U.S.-based businesses, these facilities should strengthen its ability to meet demand.The long-term growth prospects for Taiwan Semiconductor attracted the attention of Warren Buffett, whose Berkshire Hathaway established a 60 million share, $4.8 billion stake in the chipmaker.TSM is also offering a discount valuation, going for 13 times trailing and estimated earnings. At just 0.6 times its earnings growth rate, the semiconductor stock represents a better opportunity than any cryptocurrency.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"T":0.9,"TSM":0.9,"ZS":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":2828,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":629659732,"gmtCreate":1670491862828,"gmtModify":1676538379423,"author":{"id":"3575414666461571","authorId":"3575414666461571","name":"TW1","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3575414666461571","idStr":"3575414666461571"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Gd","listText":"Gd","text":"Gd","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":11,"commentSize":5,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/629659732","repostId":"2289551436","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"2289551436","kind":"highlight","pubTimestamp":1670513832,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/2289551436?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-12-08 23:37","market":"us","language":"en","title":"3 Best High-Yield Dividend Stocks to Buy in December, According to OpenAI's Amazing New ChatBot","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2289551436","media":"Motley Fool","summary":"Here are the top dividend picks from an impressive new AI system.","content":"<div>\n<p>\"Scary good.\" That's Elon Musk's description of OpenAI's new prototype ChatGPT chatbot in a tweet over the weekend. He added, \"We are not far from dangerously strong AI.\"Whether or not you agree with Musk's fear about the threat presented by artificial intelligence, he's on the mark with his view about how good ChatGPT is. I've had multiple lengthy conversations with the new chatbot over the past few days. The discussions ranged from economic theory to how to address major global problems to what Ben Franklin would think about the modern world if he time-traveled to the present. I was impressed by ChatGPT's responses.Because I write about investing, I couldn't help but bring the topic up with my AI pal. I thought I'd share some insights gathered from one of our conversations. Here are the three best high-yield dividend stocks to buy in December, according to OpenAI's amazing new chatbot.1. Energy Transfer LPChatGPT's first recommendation was Energy Transfer LP. I should note, though, that the chatbot said that its list of recommendations wasn't sorted in any way (although they're in alphabetical order).Energy Transfer LP ranks as one of the largest midstream energy companies in the world. The company exports nearly 20% of global natural gas liquids -- more than any other company (or any country, for that matter).Why did ChatGPT like this stock? For one thing, it has a high-distribution yield that currently tops 8.5%. Energy Transfer has a solid history of paying distributions. The company is strong financially with a diversified portfolio of assets including pipelines, storage facilities, and terminals. The AI system also felt that Energy Transfer has a good management team with a track record of success.2. Realty Income Corp.Realty Income Corp. was the second high-yield dividend stock on ChatGPT's list. It's one of the five largest real estate investment trusts (REITs) in the U.S. Realty Income's tenants include dollar stores, convenience stores, grocery stores, restaurants, and more.ChatGPT quickly pointed out that Realty Income has a high-dividend yield and a strong history of dividend growth. It's right on both points. The REIT's dividend yield currently stands above 4.7%. Realty Income is also a Dividend Aristocrat with 27 consecutive years of dividend increases.Realty Income's dividend program wasn't the only plus for the stock in ChatGPT's view, though. The chatbot also liked the company's historical financial strength and diversified portfolio of properties.3. Shell plcTechnically, ChatGPT recommended Royal Dutch Shell as its third pick. But the AI system's training data only went through in late 2021. Royal Dutch Shell changed its name to Shell plc in January 2022. The rationale for choosing this stock is still applicable, though.Obviously, the chatbot thought highly of Shell's dividend. The company's dividend yield is nearly 3.5% today but was probably a little higher than that in ChatGPT's training data. The AI system also viewed Shell's strong financial position as a positive.In addition, ChatGPT felt that Shell's global operations could \"provide some diversification and resilience during uncertain economic times.\" The company does business in more than 70 countries worldwide.Intelligent picks?So how intelligent were the picks from OpenAI's new AI system? Overall, I think they were good.Energy Transfer is arguably one of the best ultra-high-yield dividend stocks on the market right now. My colleague Matt Frankel wrote last month that if he could buy only one stock, it would be Realty Income. Shell has certainly been a huge winner this year and could go higher if global oil and gas supply is limited by the EU's introduction of a cap on Russian oil.But ChatGPT wasn't perfect. For example, it noted Shell's \"history of consistent dividend growth.\" The company's actual history of dividend growth isn't anything to crow about. Also, I suspect that the recommendations might have been different if the chatbot had access to current data.I wouldn't rely on ChatGPT for investment advice. It wouldn't advise doing so either. The AI system emphasized that it's \"important to thoroughly research and carefully evaluate any potential stock purchases.\" That's intelligent counsel for all investors.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"RYDAF":0.9,"ET":0.9,"O":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":2852,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":629144778,"gmtCreate":1670380836996,"gmtModify":1676538356887,"author":{"id":"3575414666461571","authorId":"3575414666461571","name":"TW1","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3575414666461571","idStr":"3575414666461571"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Like","listText":"Like","text":"Like","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":8,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/629144778","repostId":"1112917688","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1112917688","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1670373117,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1112917688?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-12-07 08:31","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Megacap Earnings to See \"Rude Awakening\" in 2023, Morgan Stanley’s Shalett Says","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1112917688","media":"Bloomberg","summary":"Shalett says expectations from some big companies ‘delusional’Pinched consumer will fuel economic sl","content":"<div>\n<p>Shalett says expectations from some big companies ‘delusional’Pinched consumer will fuel economic slump next year, she addsMorgan Stanley Wealth Management’s Lisa Shalett said some of the stock market...</p>\n\n<a href=\"https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2022-12-06/morgan-stanley-warns-megacap-company-profits-due-for-rude-awakening-in-2023?srnd=markets-vp\">Web Link</a>\n\n</div>\n","source":"lsy1584095487587","collect":0,"html":"<!DOCTYPE html>\n<html>\n<head>\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; Estimates for next year continue to drift lower though remain relatively high.Shalett said earnings forecasts in general remain too optimistic given the unprecedented confluence of factors weighing on the outlook, including Federal Reserve rate hikes and the risk of a recession.“If the Fed succeeds, if the Fed pauses, which is what all the enthusiasm is about, that pricing power at best is going to halve and at worst is going to go away completely at the same time that your volume is slowing,” she said. “It’s that kind of negative operating leverage that I just don’t think is in the numbers.”And despite the strength of the labor market, a pinched consumer might lead to further economic slowing as they burn through pandemic-era savings.“Consumers are starting to run out of dough,” she said. “As we get into 2023, we think everything rests with the consumer.”","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"AMZN":0.9,"AAPL":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":3173,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":629352704,"gmtCreate":1670298369409,"gmtModify":1676538340254,"author":{"id":"3575414666461571","authorId":"3575414666461571","name":"TW1","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3575414666461571","idStr":"3575414666461571"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Gd","listText":"Gd","text":"Gd","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":5,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/629352704","repostId":"2289286198","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":2366,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":629950388,"gmtCreate":1670225912246,"gmtModify":1676538324399,"author":{"id":"3575414666461571","authorId":"3575414666461571","name":"TW1","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3575414666461571","idStr":"3575414666461571"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Like","listText":"Like","text":"Like","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":8,"commentSize":2,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/629950388","repostId":"2289907175","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"2289907175","kind":"highlight","pubTimestamp":1670223163,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/2289907175?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-12-05 14:52","market":"us","language":"en","title":"3 Tech Stocks Hedge Funds Are Buying Now","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2289907175","media":"InvestorPlace","summary":"Tech stocks are trading at a steep discount, and hedge funds are buying.$Shopify(SHOP)$: The company scored record sales during Black Friday & Cyber Monday.$Uber(UBER)$: Uber is continuing to innovate","content":"<div>\n<p>Tech stocks are trading at a steep discount, and hedge funds are buying.Shopify: The company scored record sales during Black Friday & Cyber Monday.Uber: Uber is continuing to innovate by launching a ...</p>\n\n<a href=\"https://investorplace.com/2022/12/3-tech-stocks-hedge-funds-are-buying-now-shop-uber-qcom/\">Web Link</a>\n\n</div>\n","source":"investorplace","collect":0,"html":"<!DOCTYPE html>\n<html>\n<head>\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; That’s because hedge funds are often known as the smart money to be followed, particularly in times of uncertainty. Notably, one group of stocks that hedge funds have been buying in recent months are tech stocks.While the tech sector has been volatile recently, many analysts believe it is due for a rebound. Thus, it shouldn’t be surprising to see that hedge funds have been scooping up shares of specific companies. Of course, there is no guarantee that these stocks will go up in value, but they could provide substantial profits for hedge fund investors if the markets rebound next year.These large institutional investors have the resources and expertise to buy or sell large amounts of stock rapidly, and their decisions can significantly impact the market. If you’re looking for an edge in the tech corner of the stock market, you may want to take a closer look at hedge fund activity. That’s because hedge fund managers are some of the savviest investors and often have access to information that the general public doesn’t.In picking companies for this list, we include only those growth stocks that saw positive hedge fund activity last quarter. Hence, even if a growth stock experienced a selloff in the last quarter, it is not included in this list.With that out of the way, let’s look at some tech stocks that hedge funds are buying.SHOPShopify$43.06UBERUber$28.75QCOMQualcomm$125.66Shopify Hedge funds increased their holdings by about 9 million shares last quarter.Shopify (NYSE:SHOP) provides an online platform for e-commerce businesses. Recent sales across Shopify’s ecosystem have been impressive, but a net loss in the third quarter has some investors concerned. This has led to a declining stock price, with SHOP stock dipping more than 68% in the year, as macro concerns compound uncertainty around profitability.That said, unlike the broader markets, Shopify is one of the tech stocks that hedge funds are taking an interest in right now. The stock has been battered this year, but hedge funds apparently see the long-term value in the company.There are solid reasons why hedge funds are investing in this e-commerce player. Shopify is a leading back-end processing and middleware service provider for entrepreneurs to develop, manage, and scale their e-commerce businesses globally. Corporations use Shopify to increase sales by cutting operational costs, including manufacturing and marketing expenses.Recent results for this company’s platform have also been impressive. During this year’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday selling spree, its merchants sold a record $7.5 billion of goods globally. This represents 19% growth from the previous year, despite the unfavorable impact foreign currency rates have had on this metric.This growth rate shows that Shopify is continuing to provide value to its clientele and end customers. Despite bearish economic conditions, e-commerce activity remains strong. For those taking a long-term view of this sector, now may be the time to consider SHOP stock.Uber Hedge funds are becoming increasingly active and purchased 3.8 million UBER shares last quarter.Ride-hailing company Uber (NYSE:UBER) is evolving, and hedge funds appear to be buying into the vision. This vote of confidence from hedge funds comes amid relatively mixed results of late.While the company was able to offset pandemic losses through its Uber Eats service, write downs for equity investments led the company to report a loss in the latest quarter. That said, bulls on UBER stock may note that the company is working to improve its model. The company is becoming more efficient and is thus becoming more attractive to hedge funds and other investors, particularly at these levels.Despite inflationary pressures, Uber’s revenue in the third quarter jumped 72% to $8.34 billion from $4.85 billion in the year-ago quarter. A significant chunk of revenue growth is attributable to its November 2021 acquisition of Transplace, a freight company. All of the Transplace bookings were noted as revenue. Nevertheless, Uber’s gross bookings increased by 26% year-over-year, which means the platform remains very popular.In addition, Uber is looking to diversify its revenue streams. This diversification will allow Uber to maintain its revenue growth, should economic conditions deteriorate. Given the company’s strategic vision for the future, this should bode well for long-term investors. Uber Eats is among the best examples of a strategic pivot that has worked for the company.The latest potential diversification-based pivot I’m watching is the company’s push into the advertising space. In October, the ride-hailing giant launched a new advertising division that it believes could result in a “$1 billion-plus revenue opportunity by 2024.” Creating a dedicated ad division is a great way to diversify and grow revenue. At the same time, it has the potential to benefit investors greatly over the long-term.Qualcomm Hedge funds increased their holdings of Qualcomm stock by 101,600 shares in the last quarter.Qualcomm (NASDAQ:QCOM) has long been a powerhouse in the semiconductor and 5G markets. That said, even this industry leader hasn’t been immune to the recent tech selloff.Despite poor momentum and price performance of late, hedge funds appear to be seizing on the opportunity to buy shares of Qualcomm at a discount. It appears many in the hedge fund world are betting that the stock will rebound in the coming months. There are a number of reasons for such a view, as Qualcomm’s stock is trading well below its 52-week high.For the fourth quarter, Qualcomm’s non-GAAP net income rose 22% year-over-year, and revenues of $11.4 billion were also up by 22.1%. For the fiscal year 2022, revenue rose 32% to $44.2 billion, and EPS increased 45% to $12.53 per share.However, the markets have not responded kindly to these earnings. That’s because muted guidance for Q1 of next year, stemming from softness in demand as a result of lockdowns in China, has investors concerned about the company’s forward-looking growth rate. Growth stocks are skating on thin ice at the moment. Even the slightest hint of negative news around future growth, valuations are prone to compress significantly.But for long-term bulls, this is the ideal time to strike. Qualcomm did well in a challenging year, and is more than just a chip company. The company holds a massive automotive design-win pipeline of $30 billion. Revenues for this segment grew from $975 million in 2021 to $1.37 billion in 2022. That’s not too shabby, considering where we are in the current cycle.Even after factoring in the recent selloff, Qualcomm remains one of the most attractive opportunities in the tech sector.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"SHOP":1,"UBER":1,"QCOM":1}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":2658,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":629041479,"gmtCreate":1670131392793,"gmtModify":1676538308329,"author":{"id":"3575414666461571","authorId":"3575414666461571","name":"TW1","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3575414666461571","idStr":"3575414666461571"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Like ","listText":"Like ","text":"Like","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":12,"commentSize":3,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/629041479","repostId":"2288925832","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":2758,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":629095698,"gmtCreate":1670031852115,"gmtModify":1676538291864,"author":{"id":"3575414666461571","authorId":"3575414666461571","name":"TW1","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3575414666461571","idStr":"3575414666461571"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Like","listText":"Like","text":"Like","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":7,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/629095698","repostId":"1152464265","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":2519,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0}],"defaultTab":"following","isTTM":true}
