HIVE Digital has finalized the acquisition of Bitfarms’ partially completed 200-megawatt Bitcoin mining facility in Yguazú, Paraguay, for $56 million.The deal includes an upfront payment of $25 million due at closing in the first quarter of 2025, with the remaining $31 million to be paid in six equal monthly installments.According to an announcement HIVE made on January 28, the Yguazú facility will be developed in two stages. Phase 1, which is already 80% finished, is scheduled for completion by April 1, 2025. Once operational in the second quarter, it is expected to add approximately six exahashes per second to HIVE’s Bitcoin mining capacity.As part of the acquisition, HIVE will assume $19 million in pre-existing power purchase agreement deposits that Bitfarms paid to Paraguayan utility ANDE. This deepseek is a disruptor for sure. But it's not a doomsday event. Personally I think the scene now is something like what 8t was when xiaomi first entered the market as a competitor to iPhone at around 30% its price. But now it is as expensive and also pushes ads on even their premium phones now. And Apple & Samsung still hold forth. Perhaps this is how the AI scene would unfold in the future too with the likes of Nvidia, Micron, Palantir etc. having their own share.

This drop was uncalled for, a small start up taking down almost the entire NASDAQ doesnt make sense.Espeacilly SOFI that is a finacial service company not an AI chip manufacturer. Of all days deepseek appears and the earnings get wiped out. SOFI should be sitting at 19 + not 16, guidance is fine. SOFI is conservative. Anyways it will rebound sooner or later HEDGY WILL CHANGE DIRECTION AND RUN IT THE OTHERWAY!
