$Direxion Daily Semiconductors Bull 3x Shares(SOXL)$ For a true basing action, there needs to be a gap up and a strong move forward. If that doesn't happen, chances are the lows aren't in yet. Still waiting patiently.
$Direxion Daily Semiconductors Bull 3x Shares(SOXL)$ MU dropped 6.74 points, or 5.3%, overnight, reclaimed VWAP again and rallied to 124.48 as SKHY and DRAM also got back to VWAP. But now SKHY and DRAM are back near the lows of the day, and MU/SNDK are back below VWAP, so the momentum is still negative. It gets a bit annoying when every few months the shorts declare the memory cycle has peaked, and then all the chip companies report record earnings. Rinse and repeat.
$Direxion Daily Semiconductors Bull 3x Shares(SOXL)$ SOXS is one of those leveraged ETFs that tends to work against people who hold it too long. The structure itself is built to decay over time, with daily resets and negative roll yield eating away at value. The reverse splits aren't random, they are a direct result of how these funds are designed. The green moves are usually temporary. These products bleed value over time, which makes put options an interesting way to play their structural weaknesses rather than trying to time the bounces perfectly. A lot of retail traders get drawn into these setups and end up stuck on the wrong side when the floor drops out.
$Direxion Daily Semiconductors Bull 3x Shares(SOXL)$ I think there's still more upside left. My average is 125.50, and I'm taking half off right here. Plan is to move it into staples. Good luck to everyone trading this one.
