Chinese premium tea chain $Chagee Holdings Limited(CHA)$ is going public in the U.S. on April 17, aiming for a valuation of up to $5.1 billion.
The Shanghai-based brand plans to raise up to $411 million by offering 14.7 million American Depositary Shares (ADSs) at a price range of $26 to $28 per share.
As China’s largest premium freshly made tea brand, Chagee operates 6,440 tea houses as of December 2024, up 83% year over year.

Net Profit (2022–2024): -RMB 90.72M → RMB 803M → RMB 2.52B
China’s freshly made tea market is projected to grow at a CAGR of 11.8% from 2024–2028, reaching over RMB 426B (~$59B USD)

Chagee's CEO and Founder Junjie Zhang has an ambitious target of 100 countries and 15 Billion Cups annually in his global expansion drive.
Chagee specialises in raw leaf fresh milk tea and combines traditional oriental culture of tea with innovation and modern technologies.
Chagee hopes to replicate the IPO success of $MIXUEGROUP(02097)$ in Hong Kong.
While its financial records are impressive, Chagee may face the current headwinds of sharp declines in US stocks.
The good thing about Chagee is that its tea are 100% sourced in China. Its signature offering the Jasmine Green Milk Tea enjoys robust sales with over 230 million servings sold annually.
I am excited to see how Chagee fare in its IPO before investing in the stock.

That said, I’m approaching this with cautious optimism. The valuation is ambitious, and while the brand is trending well, competition in China’s beverage space is intense. I’d like to see how Chagee maintains its premium image and strong momentum without overextending.
If I participate, it would be more for long-term potential than a quick trade. I’m interested in how the company continues to scale, especially with talk of international expansion. It feels like the kind of brand that could grow into a lifestyle icon if managed well.
