Apple Tops SG Best Employers Again! How Do You Feel About These Stars?

Recently, the 2025 list of Singapore’s Best Employers was released, and Apple has claimed the No.1 spot for the second consecutive year, following its win in 2024.

$Alphabet(GOOG)$ Slips, A Reflection of Its Recent Cautious Moves and Stock Price?

In 2023, Google held the top spot with an impressive score of 9.13, while Apple was only in fourth place.

But tides have turned — Apple surged to No.1 in 2024 and maintained its lead into 2025, while Google has slipped all the way down to 8th place.

While Apple remains strong, other tech names like Microsoft, Meta, $Dell Technologies Inc.(DELL)$ , and even $Grab Holdings(GRAB)$ have seen fluctuating positions or dropped out of the rankings altogether.

Beyond Apple and Google: Which Global Employers Are Gaining Ground in Singapore?

Pharmaceutical companies like $Novartis AG(NVS)$ , $GlaxoSmithKline PLC(GSK)$ , and Roche have remained firmly in the top 20 for three consecutive years, showcasing their long-term attractiveness in the job market and branding themselves as “evergreen” career choices.

Interestingly, several fast-moving consumer goods emerged as dark horse. Danish toymaker LEGO continues to secure a top 10 position.

🇸🇬 Local Champions Shine Bright!

Apart from the consistently strong local banks (DBS, OCBC, UOB), Singapore-based companies like Koufu Group and $SIA(C6L.SI)$ made remarkable leaps.

Koufu surged from relative obscurity to land at No.7. In 2022, Koufu Group was privatized and delisted.

SIA, which was completely absent from the 2023 rankings, debuted at No.112 in 2024 and soared to No.13 in 2025 — a stunning comeback story post-COVID. SIA will release earnings tomorrow.

to be honest, I don't like $Apple(AAPL)$ as they have a way to "bind" you. though I must say they have a good business model as once an Apple user, will be hard to switch to Android.

I find these employer rankings interesting but they should be taken with a pinch of salt. Sometimes companies “encourage” staff to give high ratings in exchange for small perks, which can affect accuracy. It’s still a good reference, just not the full picture.

Apple $Apple(AAPL)$ keeping its No.1 spot shows strong branding, while SIA’s $SIA(C6L.SI)$ big comeback is impressive after COVID. Local names like Koufu rising in the ranks also show that homegrown companies are getting more recognition, which is great for Singapore’s job market.

However, rankings shouldn’t be the only factor when considering a job. Things like team culture, career growth, and work-life balance are equally important. Use such surveys as a guide, but always do deeper research before making career decisions.

Investment has side effects. My portfolio has annual 20k passive income, I am not willing to work. I need not extra money as long as I keep a simple life style. It is not a joke. I am still employed. I say no sometimes if I don't work on certain challenging projects. You know Asia culture, decline job assignment is not popular. Passive income gives me courage, no , I don't want to do this job. [LOL] [LOL] [LOL]

A few customers turn good friends. We even went travelling. 2 different customers.

One customer so cute that she went to SGH to visit me after an ops. She just went to the counter and state my name, date & time of ops, and the estate I stayed in - no block n no unit. 🤣🤣. The front desk gave her my ward / bed. I was about to text her my ward details and she just appeared in front of me. She shared how she got my ward info n we were so impressed with SGH effective [Strong] [LOL][LOL]

Sadly, I don’t have any friends who work in these companies. I would love to know what is so amazing about these companies that allowed them to become best employers. I do know some of the technology companies offer perks such as free meals, games within office, flexible working hours but I think a great employee goes beyond providing all these. There must be something they are doing right to build the desirable work culture. Having been to Apple Store recently, I think it helps that they have sufficient manpower so that their employees don’t feel that they are squeezed dry everyday at work. I think having a brand as a top employer helps attract talent to the company and could be a win-win situation for both parties if the talent can be retained. However, rank shift may not mean much to jobseekers if they don’t have the skill sets for the job or don’t like the job scope. It’s like finding a life partner where both parties must click!

Nothing special about the Star. As long as is good company and treat the employees well is a good company. I feel that $Sheng Siong(OV8.SI)$ is a good company compare to many

    2023年,谷歌以令人印象深刻的9.13分稳居榜首,而苹果仅排名第四。

    但潮流发生了转变——苹果在2024年飙升至第一,并在2025年保持领先地位,而谷歌则一路下滑至第八位。
