In just a few hours, a full-blown clash between Elon Musk and Donald Trump erupted online.

Elon Musk, once seen as an unconventional Trump ally, launched a blistering series of attacks.
Before the heated exchange with Trump, Musk had already started criticizing the "Big Beautiful Bill" and the U.S. debt issue yesterday.
Musk believed it should have been leaner and more targeted — “small and beautiful” — and called out its hypocrisy: Why target clean energy while oil and gas subsidies go untouched? He also retweeted dozens of posts warning about America’s unsustainable fiscal path and exploding debt.
Then we come to the real break-up. Musk claimed that without his help, “ungrateful” Trump would have lost both the presidency and the House. He also launched a poll asking if America needs a new centrist political party.
Donald Trump, never one to stay silent, hit back with equal force:
Musk claimed he could’ve won Pennsylvania without Musk’s help.
The most important part, Trump took a direct shot at Musk’s wallet: “If Elon wants to save money, the fastest way is to cancel his EV subsidies.”
And just when things couldn’t get messier, Musk dropped a bombshell:
“The reason the Epstein list hasn’t been made public… is because Trump is on it.”

This isn’t a demand shock or product failure. It’s a public clash of egos between Musk and Trump — with EV subsidies dragged into the fight. The headlines sound alarming, but they don’t change Tesla’s fundamentals overnight.
