🌟🌟🌟The official slogan for Singapore National Day 2025 is "SG60 : Building Our Singapore Together". This slogan encapsulates Singapore's remarkable journey since our independence. It is a celebration of a nation that has grown through resilience and collective effort. "Here We Are" this year's NDP theme song paints a picture of our nation as a vibrant tapestry - a collection of unique stories woven together by love, resilience and unity. It is a song that deeply resonates with me as a Singaporean as it emphasises the theme of overcoming adversity and serves as a poignant reminder of how far Singapore has come to be such a vibrant, dynamic city where there is racial harmony and a stable government. Participating in Singapore's National Day celebrations is to join fellow Singaporeans to celebrate this special day together and feel a sense of connection and pride of being a Singaporean. I plan to go to the Marina Bay this year to watch the show at the Bay. This will include water floats, performances on a new mobile floating stage and the lighting up of the city skyline through fireworks and light projections. It will certainly be dazzling. I would also like to watch the "jump of unity' where the Singapore Navy Divers will appear at Marina Bay. It's Carnival time at the Marina Bay area with lots of activities and interactive booths. There is something powerful about joining fellow Singaporeans in the Grand National Day Parade and local festivities. Witnessing the multi media displays of history, artistic performances, and the synchronised energy of thousands of participants gives me a proud sense of belonging and a shared heritage. As I immerse myself in these activities, I am reminded that National Day is more than just a day of celebration. It is a call to action. It is a day to pledge our renewed commitment to the values of compassion, resilience and unity that have defined Singapore's past and will continue to steer our future. Every parade, every conversation ignites a spark that contributes to a collective journey towards an even brighter and more inclusive tomorrow. In celebrating Singapore's 60th National Day, I am not just commemorating a date on the calender. I am embracing a lifelong commitment to the ideals that make Singapore unique. It is a day of introspection, gratitude and bold aspiration and a reminder that while we honour the chapters already written in our national story, the next pages are ours to create together.
