$D-Wave Quantum Inc.(QBTS)$ $Rigetti Computing(RGTI)$ $NVIDIA(NVDA)$ 📈🧠🎯 QUANTUM SNAPBACK, AI CROSSOVER, COINS STACKED, CAPITAL REDEPLOYED 🎯🧠📈
Short swing, sharp entry, sharper exit.
I took a position in $QBTS as quantum names roared into the spotlight on 17Jul25 NZST. $RGTI rallied 30%, $QMCO jumped 12%, $LAES surged nearly 7%, and both $QBTS and $QUBT ran over 4% intraday.
This wasn’t random euphoria. It was a coordinated sector ignition, anchored in real tech milestones and massive options flow.
🧩 The Catalyst Chain Reaction
$RGTI triggered the spark, announcing its 36-qubit chiplet system had achieved 99.5% two-qubit gate fidelity, cutting its error rate in half. For quantum traders, that’s a Rosetta stone moment. They’re launching this new system 15Aug25 and remain on track for a 100+ qubit chip before year-end.
The ripple? Quantum sympathy names caught a bid fast.
And that’s where I moved.
📊 Why I Traded $QBTS
$QBTS wasn’t just riding the wave. They’re building it.
• Q1 revenue: $15M, up 509% YoY
• This beats all of 2024 revenue in a single quarter
• First-ever sale of a physical quantum computer (not just cloud access)
• 133 customers, including 12 government clients
• Gross margin: 83.2%
• Q1 net loss: $5.4M (still unprofitable, but narrowing)
That growth trajectory, paired with macro AI tailwinds and $NVDA integration, made it the cleanest tactical setup in the group.
🖼️ Technicals: Breakout With Intent
Price broke through a 2-month descending trendline with conviction. We saw:
• Price close above $19 for the first time since March
• Volume exploded to 70.1M
• 9EMA curled upward, supporting a continuation
• Volume profile shows a thin air pocket to $21.20
• Daily TD Sequential showed a 9-7-9 reversal cluster, often signalling inflection zones
I entered on the breakout and closed the position at $19.07, capturing +3.26% on the session. Clean, controlled, and right into strength.
🐋 Options Flow Confirmed the Thrust
On 17Jul25, $QBTS 18C 01/16/2026 calls traded with $1.26M in volume across 2,556 contracts. Average fill at $4.92, high of $5.30, with 90% swept.
That’s not noise. That’s institutional directional conviction.
Add to that a spike in call/put premium delta, and net call premium soaring throughout the session, and you’ve got a whale-fuelled setup.
⚙️ Fundamentals Meet Futurism: $NVDA & QPU Synergy
While $QBTS’s quantum annealing tech is powerful for optimisation problems, it’s still a niche play. $NVDA, by contrast, is creating quantum processing units (QPUs) to run in tandem with their dominant GPUs.
Their goal? Reduce quantum error rates without requiring cryogenic miracles.
• $NVDA Q1 revenue: $44.1B
• Net income: $14.9B, up 628% YoY
• FY2025 total revenue: $130.5B, +114% YoY
• AI infrastructure leader, now scaling into quantum territory
While $QBTS’s potential is massive, its valuation is now stretched. Its P/S multiple dwarfs $NVDA’s despite no profits and minimal market penetration.
And lurking in the wings is $MSFT, quietly building its own quantum stack with enterprise-ready architecture and unlimited capital.
That’s why I didn’t marry the narrative, I monetised it.
📆 Exit, Redeploy, and Stack
As of 18Jul25 NZST 🇳🇿, I’ve closed my $QBTS swing at $19.07 and redeployed capital into higher-probability opportunities. The trade executed according to plan: sector momentum, technical confirmation, and options flow all converged. With profit secured, I’m rotating back to cash and scanning for the next asymmetric setup.
In parallel, I also earned a bonus 100 Tiger Coins for completing a trading challenge, lifting my total coin vault to 72,145. Capital is cycling, resources are compounding, and focus remains sharp.
The quantum playbook isn’t closed. It’s evolving. But this chapter is banked.

- Hen Solo·2025-07-18TOPThis is why I follow your trades, not just your charts. You navigated the flow and fundamentals side by side. That 509% YoY rev print from $QBTS felt like a headline grabber, but you caught the nuance around valuation risk. Nice touch highlighting the low put activity on those Jan 2026 18C. That’s not retail.3Report
- Tui Jude·2025-07-18TOPLoved the way you broke this down structurally. The breakout volume on $QBTS matched perfectly with the 9EMA slope and that 9-7-9 TD cluster—I’ve only seen a few setups that clean recently. $NVDA’s numbers are just wild, but adding $MSFT in at the end was a power move. They’re definitely not sitting out the next compute shift. I simply can’t believe how many coins you have BC 😳2Report
- Cool Cat Winston·2025-07-18TOPWhat a well-timed exit. That $19.07 close was precise, and the volume confirmation on $QBTS really stood out. I’ve been watching $RGTI’s fidelity milestone too, but your point about Nvidia’s QPU-GPU bridge is what’s got me thinking bigger picture. The hybrid model feels like the more durable play over time.2Report
