$AML3D LTD(AL3.AU)$ If you have been following my posts, you know I am a "bag holder" for AL3. Frankly speaking, being a bag holder has always been associated with bad trading discipline. However, to me, not every stocks or companies are the same. I am struggling between sharing AL3 or my bag holding story of silver and gold stocks, both are in the correction phase. AL3 gets the pick since it has been my US$1000+ profit share for the longest time in 🐯 app. The impact as a bag holder for this company is perhaps more pronounced.
What happened? And why did I not sell when I was easily up by 200% and more!? Is this greed or stupidity? Perhaps I would called it blind faith... [Tongue] [Duh] [LOL] [Facepalm]
Nah... strong faith is more appropriate. I don't love the company but I am still quietly confident about its future and the potential that has opened in its path. Yes, the shares price has corrected, by more than a 1/3 since its recent 52 weeks high. However, rather than sell, I am looking to add to my position.
Indeed why so? What gives me this confidence?
AL3 is not your usual defence company. It is not like my old love, $RTX Corp(RTX)$
AL3 is into 3D printing or additive manufacturing. It has since penetrated into US Defence industry. The latest order of $4.5M just came in from US defence shipbuilding heavyweight, HII. The contract wins may not have come loud and clear like those in the hotbeds of AI or quantum computing sectors. They are not fast and rapid like those of NVDA or PLTR. This is after all defence sector, which is fine to have slow and steady inflow of work and money 💴...
It is never about fast and rapid wins... rather a sectoral change. From the cumbersome traditional cutting and welding shipbuilding techniques to the new and advanced building of parts from scratch. Instead of removing materials, we are now building up. Besides being a much quicker process, the end product is also stronger. HII, the biggest naval shipbuilder in US, is turning to AL3, obviously at the "request" from the US Navy itself!
It is not the first company to approach AL3 to place order, it won't be the last. 2 systems are also just the beginning of more to come... a lot more... US Navy had previously in its LOI with AL3 already indicated an upward of 100 systems. Patience is the key here. Defence contracts are for the long haul, not those quick wins and forget to get your foothold into the sector.
This is the quiet time, the correction phase. An event that must happen for the rally to have legs. For me, it is all about clearing the weak hands... it is a necessary process.
The correction has slowed down, but I am still waiting for the turning point. It is soon, but not yet...

It’s always the quiet period that pays off… when it’s too noisy, the trade might just be too crowded for comfort. Just my 2 cents to share…
