$ASTS & Starlink: The End of the Internet Kill Switch
If a government can flip a “kill switch” and literally shut off the internet for the entire country…
Companies like $AST SpaceMobile, Inc.(ASTS)$ and Starlink become national security infrastructure imo.
We've seen governments shut off networks in seconds (myanmar in '21, russia/ukraine, sudan, iran right now).
They can do this because the physical infrastructure lives inside the country, gov't controls ISPs, and "kill switchs" are built into the regulatory systems.
But the *direct-to-device* satellites change everything.
They're the first real way to get around national censorship.
Ukraine proved this....starlink kept military comms, drones, hospitals, and basic internet online.
Without starlink, ukraine collapses immediately imo.
Anyways, this is a massive part of the bull case that nobody is talking about for ASTS.
Connectivity becomes private + global.
> protests are harder to suppress
> info is harder to block
> militaries rely on private satellite networks
> authoritarian censorship loses leverage
> disasters don’t kill comms
> parallel internet layer exists above every country
The stakes for this tech are way bigger than most people realize.
ASTS is currently $95.10.
