$BMNR 20260123 28.5 PUT$ BMNR will continue to co-relate closely with the Ethereum upgrades. Can nibble and digest accordingly. 😋

Fusaka (Dec 2025): Focuses on enhancing data availability, likely integrating PeerDAS for improved Layer-2 scalability

Glamsterdam (1H 2026): Planned as the first major upgrade of 2026

Hegota (Late 2026): Expected as the second major upgrade in 2026, following a faster development cadence.

Ethereum is moving to a more frequent, biannual upgrade cadence to stay competitive with high-throughput rivals. Sharing a little more details so as to appreciate Ethereum community visions & commitments.

Glamsterdam: Scalability and Neutrality. :--a portmanteau of Glasgow (Execution Layer) and Amsterdam (Consensus Layer)—focuses on improving Layer 1 efficiency and block-building decentralisation.

Enshrined Proposer-Builder Separation (ePBS): This is the flagship feature. It aims to formalise the separation of block builders and proposers directly at the protocol level to reduce MEV (Maximum Extractable Value) centralization and censorship risks.

Parallel Processing & Gas Limits: Initial proposals include increasing the gas limit to 200 million (up from 60 million) and introducing Block Access Lists to enable parallel transaction processing rather than sequential execution.

L2 Boosting: The upgrade aims to increase the number of data blocks per block to over 72, significantly expanding the data capacity for Layer 2 rollups.

Development Challenges: Recent reports from January 2026 suggest developers may scale back some features, such as EIP-7732, to meet the mid-year launch target.

Hegota: State Management and Accessibility. It combines the names Bogota (Execution Layer) and Heze (Consensus Layer star name). Its primary mission is to solve the long-term issue of "state bloat".

Verkle Trees: While not yet finalised, Verkle Trees are the leading candidate for Hegota. They would drastically reduce the data required for network validation, enabling stateless clients and making it easier for individuals to run nodes on consumer hardware.

Storage Optimization: Hegota targets node storage capacity, implementing solutions to manage historical data more efficiently so the blockchain remains accessible as it grows.

Execution Layer Refinement: Expect further gas optimizations and improved state management to ensure transaction processing remains cheap and fast as the network scales.
