GTC Berlin Is Nvidia’s Chance to Prove the AI Trade Has Entered Its Next Phase
Nvidia rebounded 1.38%, with Marvell +4.06%, AMD +1.76% and Broadcom +1.78% as attention shifts to Jensen Huang's 21 October GTC Berlin keynote.
NVDA is around $217.
But I do not think another impressive GPU announcement is enough to move the stock materially.
The market already believes Nvidia has great chips.
What it now wants is proof that AI demand is broadening beyond hyperscaler training into inference, agents, enterprise AI and physical AI.
That is what could reignite the trade.
🔵 THE NUMBER BEHIND THE KEYNOTE
I am watching for evidence that falling inference costs are creating more total demand, rather than simply making existing AI workloads cheaper.
That is the next Nvidia flywheel:
Better compute → cheaper inference → more AI applications → more tokens → more infrastructure demand.
Agents are particularly important because autonomous AI systems could consume dramatically more inference compute than today's chatbot-style interactions.
Physical AI adds another layer through robotics, factories and autonomous machines.
If Jensen can show these are becoming commercial workloads rather than demonstrations, the market has a reason to extend Nvidia's growth assumptions.
🚦 MY NVDA LEVELS
At roughly $217, I like Nvidia, but I would not chase GTC excitement.
🟡 $205-$215: FIRST PICK
🟢 $190-$200: PREFERRED PICK
🟢 $175-$185: STRONG PICK
🟡 $225-$230: FIRST BREAKOUT TEST
🟢 Above $235: BULLISH CONFIRMATION
Then I would target $250-$260.
🟢 $275+: BULL EXTENSION
🔴 Below $175: THESIS CHECK
🔵 MY POST-GTC PREDICTION
🟡 50% BASE CASE: $205-$230
The keynote reinforces Nvidia's dominance but contains no major financial surprise. Investors remain constructive while waiting for orders and earnings.
🟢 30% BULL CASE: $235-$260
Strong evidence emerges that inference, agents and physical AI are creating another layer of infrastructure demand.
A clean $235 break could trigger renewed momentum surprisingly quickly.
🔴 20% BEAR CASE: $185-$205
The keynote impresses technologically but fails to change revenue expectations, while rates and broader tech weakness overpower the event.
That would actually make $190-$200 interesting to me if fundamentals remain intact.
🟢 NVDA, AMD, AVGO OR MRVL?
My ranking after the recent volatility:
🥇 NVDA: best overall AI infrastructure moat
🥈 AVGO: best custom-AI-chip diversification
🥉 AMD: strongest challenger upside
4. MRVL: higher-risk infrastructure leverage
AMD can outperform on percentage upside if execution surprises.
Broadcom benefits if hyperscalers increasingly design custom accelerators.
But Nvidia remains my first choice because it monetises much more than silicon.
The moat increasingly includes hardware + networking + software + developer ecosystem + inference infrastructure.
WHAT WOULD MAKE ME MORE BULLISH?
🟢 Major enterprise AI adoption evidence.
🟢 Stronger inference economics driving greater compute consumption.
🟢 New agentic AI deployments at scale.
🟢 Physical AI moving toward commercial deployment.
🟢 Continued hyperscaler capex confidence.
The biggest risk is the opposite:
AI spending continues rising faster than customers can demonstrate returns.
That is the question hanging over the entire sector now.
MY CALL
I remain bullish on NVDA, but at $217 I would rather wait for either $205-$215 or confirmation above $235.
My preferred accumulation zone remains $190-$200.
My post-GTC base range is $205-$230.
Bullish confirmation is $235.
Then $250-$260 becomes my next target.
The most important message Jensen can deliver in Berlin is not that Nvidia's next chip is faster.
Everyone expects that.
He needs to show that making AI cheaper is causing the world to consume much more AI.
If that happens, the argument that AI infrastructure spending is approaching its peak becomes much harder to defend.
And that could be exactly what the semiconductor trade needs after this correction.
I am not a financial advisor. Trade wisely, Comrades!
My post-GTC base case: $205-$230. Which comes first for NVDA, $235 or $200?
