Bitcoin Briefly Tops $80K; Circle Gets Two Price Targets — $65 and $140?
Oil relief lifted risk appetite Tuesday. Bitcoin poked above $80,000 before settling near $78,810, −0.20% — the level has not held. Equities had more beta: Strategy +3.42% (Canaccord Buy, target $175), Coinbase +4.28%, Circle +4.90% to $92.02. Circle has the widest spread: Wolfe at Underperform with a $65 target, 29% below spot, against Bernstein's $140, 52% above — a 115% gap. The reason is the model: revenue is interest on reserves, so Circle gains from volume but loses from rate cuts. So inflation data and Jackson Hole matter more to Circle than to Bitcoin. Strategy, Coinbase, or Circle?
