Bagholding Ready Capital Corp (RC) And I'm Okay With It

Today, I was reminded of something I had honestly forgotten: I still own shares of Ready Capital Corp (RC). The reminder didn’t come from a sudden news headline or a stock alert. It came in the form of a notification from my Tiger Broker app—my dividend from RC had just been deposited. And just like that, RC was back on my radar. I’ve been holding this stock for quite some time. I bought it at around $8 per share. Today, it’s trading at roughly $4.24. A classic baghold situation, no doubt about it. But despite the drop, I haven’t sold and I don’t plan to. Ready Capital Corp (RC) Here’s why. Over the years, I’ve built a habit: I don’t sell just because a stock is down unless I see something fundamentally wrong with the company. In RC’s case, I don’t. Their last earnings weren’t am

Keppel’s strong quarter—and the positive reaction across its suite of REITs—has definitely put the spotlight back on Singapore’s top conglomerate. With the main Keppel entity up 5% after earnings, and both Keppel REIT and Keppel DC REIT posting gains of 2% and 2.65% respectively, it’s clear investors see real value in the group’s diversified, asset-light model. Is Keppel a good investment choice? Right now, the answer looks pretty compelling. The company is firing on all cylinders: infrastructure and renewables are showing growth, the offshore & marine pivot is finally bearing fruit, and the property/urban development segments are more resilient than many expected. Meanwhile, its REITs are benefiting from strong underlying assets, stable distributions, and defensive characteristics—esp

Keppel’s solid earnings, with a 25% rise in net profit and steady recurring income growth, reinforce my confidence in its long-term prospects. The S$500 million share buyback plan and maintained dividend show strong capital management, making it an attractive hold for both growth and income. Its 27.63% YTD gain also reflects strong investor confidence. Despite CMOU.SI’s recent dip, I see it as a potential bargain within the Keppel group. The weakness may be sentiment-driven, and I’m watching for signs of recovery or value re-rating as market conditions shift. If fundamentals remain stable, this pullback could present a good entry point for long-term investors. Keppel’s strategy of divesting lower-yield assets while growing infrastructure and data segments looks sustainable. It allows for
