Economic Calendar (05Oct2026) Economic calendar for the week (source: Investing.com) After last week’s triple-feature (RBA, PCE, payrolls), this week is deliberately quiet — which makes each item carry more weight, and leaves the tape more exposed to headlines than to data. China is on Golden Week holiday Monday to Wednesday, thinning Asia liquidity. 1. FOMC minutes (Wednesday 7 October, 2:00 pm ET). The one genuine event of the week: the record of the meeting that delivered the first rate rise in three years (to 3.75–4.00%). After Friday’s soft payrolls (+29K — see below), the minutes tell us how much of the decision was inflation-fighting conviction versus insurance. Watch the language on oil pass-through and on how many participants wanted to signal another rise in October. [Investing.c

4Q26 Outlook | Good global growth is proving stronger than late cycle risks
The case for staying invested: Growth still outweighs the risks Over the past few months, investors have become increasingly focused on a range of late-cycle risks. Rising bond yields, persistent inflation, fuller capacity utilisation and labour markets with low unemployment rates have all contributed to concerns that the current economic expansion is operating under late cycle conditions. As a long-term investor, these are risks that I continue to monitor closely. Yet, despite an increasingly complex backdrop, the global economy continues to demonstrate remarkable resilience. Growth remains broadly supported across major regions, corporate earnings continue to exceed expectations, and business investment remains healthy. While the current environment exhibits several late-cycle characteri
One Side Of The Wheel Had A Great Week. The Other Expires Friday.
Mathematical Money | October 4, 2026 $MARA$ closed Friday at $11.24. A week earlier it was $12.53, so that's down 10.3% in five sessions and roughly 15% below where it traded in mid-September. I run both sides of a wheel on this name — calls above the position, puts below it. This week the two sides did completely opposite things, which is a useful illustration of what you're actually signing up for when you sell premium in both directions. The calls paid, because the stock fell On 18 September I sold calls at the $14 strike expiring 9 October, taking $0.73 each. By Thursday the stock had dropped far enough that those contracts were worth $0.0565 — effectively nothing. I closed them for a realised gain of $2,633 and immediately wrote new ones at the $13 strike, two weeks further out, for $
I asked an AI which religion it would convert to. Its answer shocked everyone
POV: You ask an ChatGPT to pick a religion... Ans : If I had to hypothetically choose one religion to believe in and genuinely convert to, rather than just pick one based on culture or family background, I'd probably lean toward Buddhism, especially a more philosophical/less dogmatic form. Why: Emphasis on reducing suffering rather than simply obeying rules. Self-examination and mindfulness are central. It encourages questioning and examining one's own experience rather than requiring unquestioning faith. The ideas of impermanence, attachment, compassion, and acceptance make a lot of sense to me philosophically. There is relatively strong compatibility between Buddhist practice and a scientific/naturalistic worldview, although different Buddhist traditions make different superna

HDD Stocks Plunge 10%: Are Seagate and WDC Losing Their Scarcity Premium?
HDD stocks took a sharp hit in the latest session. $Seagate Technology(STX)$ and $Western Digital(WDC)$ both fell about 10.2%, even as the broader tech market held up much better. This was not a broad AI hardware selloff. The pressure was concentrated in HDD names, and the trigger came from Toshiba. Toshiba reportedly plans to invest around ¥60 billion to expand its Philippine operations and roughly double HDD capacity for AI data centers by fiscal 2027 compared with 2025 levels. The company is also targeting a much larger share of the global HDD market over time. That immediately raised a key concern for investors: if the industry’s No. 3 player starts adding meaningful capacity, how long can Seagate and W
🔥 3 BIG WATCHES FOR THE NEXT MOVE I’m watching three very different setups: 1️⃣ $Advanced Micro Devices(AMD)$ — Continuation Setup Double hammer candles on the daily chart. 🔨🔨 If the continuation confirms, I’m watching: 🎯 $635 → $640 Calls are the trade I’m watching here. $AMD closed at $633.91 on Oct. 2, putting those levels directly in focus. 2️⃣ $Apple(AAPL)$ — Bottom Confirmation $AAPL had a big reversal yesterday. Now I’m watching for confirmation that the bottom is in. 🔑 $325 is the level. If price can hold/reclaim that area, I’m watching for the upside move. 📈 Calls are on my radar. $AAPL closed at $333.69 on Oct. 2, above that $325 level. 3️⃣ $NVIDIA(NVDA)$
Here’s what I’m watching across the board 👇 🚀 $Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ — Bulls Reclaim $350 Bulls reclaimed $350 support, keeping the bullish structure intact. Well done to anyone who held through the pullback. $380 is the next major resistance that needs to be taken out. 📈 $ON Semiconductor(ON)$ — +30% Since My Trade $ON is now up +30% since I made the video going over my trade. I’m still bullish over the next 6–12 months, but I’m anticipating a rejection around $85 → $90. If we reject there and pull back to test a higher low, I’ll look to re-enter. ✅ 🎯 $NVIDIA(NVDA)$ — +12% From Smart Money Zone $NVDA is now up over 12% since hitting the Smart Money Zone and is appro
🔨 FIND THIS $Advanced Micro Devices(AMD)$ HAMMER CANDLE ON THE DAILY CHART. This is what $AMD looked like before the reversal. Scary, right? 👀 But here’s the key: The hammer itself isn’t the buy signal. The confirmation is. 🎯 The setup 1️⃣ Wait for confirmation The next day, let price break above the hammer’s high. 2️⃣ Enter on strength Don’t anticipate the reversal.Let buyers prove they’re taking control. 3️⃣ Define the risk Place your stop below the hammer’s low. If that level breaks, the setup failed. 4️⃣ Target the bounce Look for the next major resistance level or roughly 2–3R. 5️⃣ Follow the plan ❌ Don’t chase ❌ Don’t average down ❌ Don’t turn a reversal trade into a long-term hold 💡 The $AMD hammer tells you where buyers showed up. The con
$TSLA Deliveries Beat. Here’s the Gamma Squeeze Setup
$Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ Q3 DELIVERIES BEAT EXPECTATIONS Tesla delivered 486,532 vehicles in Q3, well above estimates around 463K–464K. Production came in at 464,391. That delivery beat is already getting attention, with $TSLA shares jumping roughly 5% after the report. 📊 The key numbers 🚗 Q3 deliveries: 486,532 🏭 Q3 production: 464,391 📈 Est. deliveries: ~463,761 🔋 Energy storage deployments: 13.7 GWh Deliveries were down roughly 2% YoY from 497,099, but improved from 480,126 in Q2. Model 3 and Model Y accounted for 98% of deliveries. 🎯 Here’s my gamma squeeze setup The level I’m watching is: $359.79 — previous day high If $TSLA can hold above $359.79 or reclaim it, I’ll be watching: 🔥 Oct. 2 $360–$365 calls for a potential move toward $365+. No chas
👀 $S&P 500(.SPX)$ is showing a potential bounce setup. The hammer candle bounced directly off the 50-day moving average, which suggests buyers are stepping in at an important level. But the setup has a clear line in the sand: 🔑 $7,656 must hold today. More importantly… 🚀 A move above $7,690 would break the bearish diagonal trendline and give the bounce a stronger technical confirmation. So I’m watching two levels: $7,656 → support$7,690 → bullish trigger One more gap up for the books. 📈 And yes… I expect this gap to get filled eventually. 👀 Markets are always moving - and sometimes, the best move is knowing what works for you. With Treasury yields, oil prices and rate expectations keeping markets on edge this week, investors are once again thi
The stock market experienced choppy, indecisive price action in the $S&P 500(.SPX)$ and $E-mini S&P 500 - main 2612(ESmain)$ struggled under the weight of surging bond yields. For most of the week, the 10-year Treasury yield surged as high as 5.35% early Thursday to set a fresh 24 year high, while the 30-year yield touched 5.62%, the highest level since 2002. This bond sell-off was fueled by a combination of fears that a resilient economy would keep interest rates higher for longer and escalating conflict involving Iran. Mid-week data kept investors on edge by presenting a mixed economic picture. The August Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) price index showed cooling inflationary pressur
