TOPkoolgal: 🌟🌟🌟It is time to put on my thinking cap and test my knowledge on ETFs. At its core, ETFs are a great way to build a diversified portfolio instantly without having to buy dozens of individual stocks manually. I love investing in ETFs and they form an integral part of my portfolio. Thanks @TigerEvents for this exciting quiz. My answers are as follows: 1A, 2B, 3C, 4B, 5A, 6B, 7B, 8B, 9C and 10B.

TOPMHh: The individual stocks have been really volatile lately. I definitely prefer to hold the index to save myself from the anxiety. $Alphabet(GOOG)$ GOOG setup is fundamentally strong but technically neutral-to-soft. GOOG's profitability and growth metrics are exceptional (ROE 48.7%, net margin 93.7% in the latest period, revenue growth accelerating to 24.2%), and the stock trades at a below-average forward multiple (16.5x vs. a 22.4x historical average). However, price momentum has stalled: GOOG is roughly flat over the past month and down 4.5% over 60 days, sitting 15.9% below its 52-week high, with the latest session seeing net institutional outflow. The valuation is the main support; the price action is the main caveat.

$MSTX 20261218 40.0 PUT$ MSTR's momentum has improved markedly over three months (+70.4% over 60 trading days), but the last two weeks have stalled (MACD rolled to -0.82 on 2026-10-02), and the fundamental picture remains loss-making with a very rich sales multiple. This is a high-beta, sentiment-driven instrument where the equity price is driven far more by BTC and premium/discount dynamics than by its software cash flows.

$AAPL VERTICAL 261016 PUT 310.0/PUT 312.5$ 1️⃣ Why am I making this trade now? AAPL's momentum has cooled from a strong uptrend into a sideways consolidation. Apple is still in a structurally healthy medium-term uptrend — it sits 88.6% of the way up its 52-week range and has gained 22.7% over the past year — but the short-term impulse has faded: MACD has rolled over into a bearish crossover, price has slipped below its 5/10-day moving averages, and the stock is consolidating just below its all-time high of $345.34 (2026-09-22).  2️⃣ What’s my plan from here? The setup reads as a high-level pause rather than a breakdown, with the medium-term trend intact but near-term upside capp

$B VERTICAL 261016 PUT 38.0/PUT 37.0$ 1️⃣ Why am I making this trade now? Barrick's momentum has clearly cooled from its August peak. The stock is in a short-term volatile uptrend but a medium-term downtrend, having pulled back ~18% from its 2026-08-25 high of $49.14.  2️⃣ What’s my plan from here? The pullback is driven mainly by gold-price swings and Fed rate expectations rather than company-specific deterioration — fundamentals (low P/E, high ROE) and analyst consensus remain constructive, but the near-term direction hinges on the gold price.

$OXY 20261016 75.0 CALL$ Occidental Petroleum (OXY) — Recent Bullish vs Bearish News Conclusion: The news flow over the past three months skews modestly positive on the analyst/sell-side side — a Goldman Sachs upgrade to Buy and a cluster of raised price targets — while the bear case centers on OXY's above-peer leverage and its high sensitivity to the crude oil cycle. The stock trades at ~$57.5 (2026-10-05), well below the ~$67–69 analyst consensus target, but also well off the ~$40 lows referenced by value investors earlier in the period.

$OXY 20261016 75.0 CALL$ Occidental Petroleum (OXY) — Recent Bullish vs. Bearish News Bottom line: The recent news flow on Occidental Petroleum (OXY) watchlist skews mildly constructive on the analyst side — Goldman Sachs upgraded the stock to Buy and two other houses raised price targets — but the stock has not followed through, sitting at $57.95 on 2026-10-05, roughly flat versus the level it jumped to on the upgrade day. The bull case rests on sell-side re-rating and a low headline multiple; the bear case rests on the fact that the shares have stalled despite the upgrades and on the absence of any fresh positive operating catalyst until Q3 results in November.

$CDE 20261023 15.0 PUT$ Coeur Mining (CDE) — Recent Bullish vs Bearish News Bottom line: The news flow is split. The bullish case rests on a sharp H1 2026 earnings beat and exploration upside at newly acquired assets; the bearish case is that the stock has already run hard off its 52-week low, is now 18.7% below its level 20 days ago, and sits in the lower quartile of its 52-week range — momentum has cooled even as fundamentals improved.

$APLD 20261009 20.0 PUT$ APLD — Recent Bullish vs. Bearish News Bottom line: The news flow over the past two months skews constructive on the operational side (capacity coming online, bullish analyst initiations) but cautious on the financial side — the company is still loss-making, and the upcoming earnings print (2026-10-07) is expected to show revenue growth alongside a wider loss. The stock is a high-beta AI-infrastructure name where the bull case rests on contracted capacity and the bear case on execution, funding and dilution.

$APLD 20261009 20.0 PUT$ APLD — Recent Bullish vs. Bearish News Conclusion: The recent news flow on Applied Digital (APLD) watchlist is genuinely two-sided. The bullish side rests on real operational delivery (75 MW of new AI capacity energized on 2026-10-02) and a fresh sell-side endorsement (Wells Fargo Top Idea, USD 50 target). The bearish side is structural: the company is still loss-making, the stock sits near the bottom of its 52-week range, and there are persistent signals of insider selling and share issuance. Net, the news mix is constructive on execution but the equity remains a high-beta, unprofitable AI-infrastructure story.

The target profit was set at 70% more than premium paid and that was achieved today with 11 days till expiry.  SPCX seemed to have a very bullish tail wind since last Friday after news of itsl leasing its GPU compute power to both Google and Anthropic and collected decent cash monthly that investors like the news.  For me, happy to be at the right side of the trade news and be able to profit from it.
