13 Rules to Survive a Market Correction

Hi Tigers! 🐯 When markets correct, your first job isn't to make money. It's to protect your capital and stay in the game. 🛡️ Here are 13 rules worth remembering: 1️⃣ Survive first. You can't profit if you're wiped out. 2️⃣ Trade less. Not every move deserves a trade. 3️⃣ Keep cash available. 💵 Cash gives you flexibility when opportunities appear. 4️⃣ Reduce leverage. Don't let volatility force you out of positions. 5️⃣ Cut losses early. Small losses are easier to recover from. 6️⃣ Protect your mental capital. 🧠 Stress and exhaustion lead to bad decisions. 7️⃣ Never average down blindly. Don't keep adding to losing positions just because prices are lower. 8️⃣ Don't try to call the exact bottom. Let the market show its hand. 9️⃣ Start small and scale in gradually. 📊 Let confirmation guide yo

$SPX Hits a New ATH, but $ES Is Lagging

The $S&P 500(.SPX)$ just made a new all-time high. But $E-mini S&P 500 - main 2612(ESmain)$ didn’t. 👀 We saw the same divergence in February 2025. What followed? A 20% selloff in just seven weeks. Could history repeat itself? Maybe not. There’s no guarantee we’ll see another 20% drop this time. But this divergence is a warning sign worth watching. 🚨 📉 New highs without confirmation from futures deserve attention. Don't assume the market will crash. But don't ignore the signal, either. Stay alert. Protect your capital. Let price action confirm the next move. 🛡️ Markets are always moving - and sometimes, the best move is knowing what works for you. Hi Tigers! Four stocks and ETFs are flashing very different technical signals. $QQQ and $IWM may be setting up for relief bounces, $NOW is showing potential downside risk, while $TSM is approaching a key level that could determine whether its rebound holds. 📉 $Invesco QQQ(QQQ)$ — Relief Bounce or New Highs? Could $UBER Become a $1 Trillion Company by 2035?

Only about $0.05 of every dollar spent on $Uber(UBER)$ ends up as profit or free cash flow for the company. Now imagine an ad-supported version of Uber. What if advertising revenue could subsidize fares, making rides significantly cheaper — or even free in some cases? 👀 Uber already has a massive consumer network and valuable insights into shopping and travel behavior. Advertising could create a higher-margin revenue stream without requiring a proportional increase in rides. The big question is how much of that potential can translate into sustainable free cash flow. A trillion-dollar valuation by 2035 is an ambitious target, but new monetization opportunities could change the math. 🚗 Meanwhile, $General Motor

🐶📈 OPTIONS PUPPY DAILY MARKET UPDATE — 19 OCTOBER 2026 🇸🇬 OCBC Under Pressure, Apple Holds the Fort, AI Memory Stocks Face a Reality Check, and War Headlines Keep Markets on Edge 🐶 1. 🌅 My Monday Market Opening: Panic Selling or a New Market Rotation? Good morning, everyone! Welcome to my Options Puppy Daily Market Update for Monday, 19 October 2026! 🇸🇬📈 My focus today is on four important developments: OCBC’s sharp intraday weakness, Apple’s resilience following strong iPhone demand, the sell-off in AI memory and optical hardware stocks, and the continuing influence of geopolitical tensions on oil prices, inflation expectations and global stock indexes. My view is that I should not automatically interpret every market decline as the beginning of a crash. Sometimes a sell-off reflects a ge
🐶📈 OPTIONS PUPPY DAILY midday MARKET UPDATE — 19 OCTOBER 2026 TigerTrade
TOP吉3186: This analysis reminds me: a stock price decline is not necessarily an opportunity; the key is to look at the reasons for the decline. I will pay special attention to three aspects 1) OCBC: I will not rush to buy just because the share price has fallen to around S$28.50. Instead, I will observe support levels, bank earnings, bad debt risk and whether the Dividend is sustainable. 2) AI Memory and Technology Stocks: While long-term demand for AI is strong, increased competition may depress product prices and profit margins. Even if the industry continues to grow, it doesn't mean every company can make money. 3) Geopolitics and oil prices: If oil prices continue to rise, inflation may heat up again, affecting expectations of interest rate cuts and putting pressure on the valuation of technology stocks. If I'm using a Cash-Secured Put option, I'll first determine the price I'm actually willing to buy at and prepare enough Cash to take delivery. The premium received are not free income, and if the stock price plummets, the losses could still be significant. My strategy is: neither blindly buy at the bottom, nor sell indiscriminately out of panic. First, look at the fundamentals, then at the valuation, and finally decide when to buy. Remember: cheap doesn't mean it's worth buying; even high-quality companies should be bought at a reasonable price. Only by protecting your principal can you wait for the next opportunity.

Tesla’s Flying Roadster: A Spectacular Show, but Is Musk Looking in the Right Direction?

A car that can perform midair manoeuvres sounds like something from a science-fiction movie. But Tesla’s latest Roadster reveal raises a much bigger question than whether a sports car can fly. Is $Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ preparing to lead the next automotive revolution, or is it leaving the biggest battle in the car industry to China? Elon Musk’s latest presentation showcased an extraordinary vision of what a vehicle could become. Yet beneath the spectacle lies a more important strategic question about Tesla’s future, the rise of Chinese automakers and the changing competitive landscape for Western car manufacturers. 🚀 1. TOP苏36: The Market's Real Test: Earnings or Expectations? Last week's selloff exposed Wall Street's biggest vulnerability: even strong earnings may not save overvalued stocks when expectations become unrealistic. The Nasdaq plunged 4.5%, while oil surged above $100 and sticky inflation complicated the Fed's outlook. Capital is becoming more selective, not simply disappearing. This week, three catalysts deserve attention. NVIDIA's GTC Berlin could reignite AI enthusiasm, but investors need evidence that massive AI spending translates into sustainable profits. Tesla and Meta earnings will test whether growth narratives justify their valuations. Meanwhile, Western Digital's results could reveal whether AI demand is strengthening storage economies. My strategy:follow cash flow, not headlines. In volatile markets, companies with pricing power, healthy balance sheets, and proven earnings deserve priority over businesses relying on future promises. @TigerObserver [你懂的]

(Part 3 of 5) S&P500 technical analysis

3 · S&P 500 — technical read (daily chart) For the daily chart, we first look at MACD, which shows changes in market momentum. We then check the 50-day and 200-day moving averages and the flow of trading money to see whether buyers or sellers have more control. Together, these indicators suggest one way to approach the week; they do not predict what will happen. S&P 500 (^GSPC), daily — Yahoo Finance; close 16 Oct 7,659.44 (−1.09%). Silicon Paradox: Reconciling TSMC’s Record Highs with the AI Hardware Equity Sell-Off

BEGINNER’S GUIDE · GEOPOLITICS & MARKETS 🌍🐱 How War News Becomes a Catalyst for Stock Markets, Indexes and ETFs Understanding oil prices, inflation, interest rates, the S&P 500, Nasdaq, Hang Seng and the ETFs that investors watch. War headlines can move financial markets even when the fighting is happening thousands of kilometres away. The reason is simple: markets do not only trade what is happening today. They trade expectations about what might happen tomorrow. When investors hear about a conflict involving Iran, the Middle East, Russia or Ukraine, they start asking several questions. Will oil supplies be disrupted? Will petrol become more expensive? Could inflation rise again? Will central banks keep interest rates higher for longer? Could companies earn less money because thei
