Which Stock Made You Feel Like You Could Retire with One Big Win?

In the world of investing, there’s always that one stock that makes you think, “If I catch this one, I’ll be financially free.” Two weeks ago, a WSB investor timed the dip in SMCI perfectly and earn £289,384.58 (about $357,000). However, dip buying can't be right everytime. Peter Lynch famously said, “Trying to catch the bottom is like trying to grab a falling knife.” Which stock made you feel like one big win could let you retire? Have you ever successfully timed the bottom—or did you end up trapped? What signals do you use to determine if a stock has truly stabilized?

None of the stock gave a feeling of possible to retire with One Big Win.   Never try big bet for big win as it is very risky. Thankful if overall enjoy some profits and in the green.
We've all heard stories of individuals who've made life-changing profits from a single investment. However, I'm a firm believer in managing risk and taking a slow and steady approach. No get-rich-quick schemes or reckless bets for me! Instead, I focus on consistent, long-term growth. It may not be glamorous, but it's a reliable way to build wealth over time. What about you? Share your thoughts and experiences! Let's support each other on our financial journeys and celebrate the small and big wins along the way 🥳

I have not had a big win that will allow me to retire. I manage my risks and will not put in great amounts of money in a single stock. I don’t believe in timing the market in trades as it is too difficult to always win it. I do buy the dips and have to wait some time to ride it out to profit eg Tencent. I would average down while I wait it out. The most important thing is to buy fundamentally sound companies that are facing a rough patch due to macro factors. I typically buy the dip when my price point has been reached eg dropped by a certain percentage or wait till the first reversal to uptrend. @HelenJanet @rL @KYHBKO

$SUPER MICRO COMPUTER INC(SMCI)$  I wish I could have a big win with this stock and retire for good witht enough money to live comfortably with my mum ❤️❤️❤️
Personally, i have not done well buying the dip. Its a falling knife for a reason. $Pfizer(PFE)$ was a great example, great company but just kept going lower. But thats a cyclical stock. I think buying the dip requires one fundamental. Knowledge. This month i have been buying $Schwab US Dividend Equity ETF(SCHD)$ and $Realty Income(O)$. Why? Because i sold them both at a nice profit, I understand both companies very well, both dividend stocks that when i sold didn’t have the same allure going forward. With schd, the dividend yield wasn’t as consistent as others, with O the yield was low. But for both now, due to the price drop, totally different. Both are solid inves

I bought Netflix when it dropped below $200 in mid-2022. Average cost price is around $190. I think the low in that cycle was circa $175. It's done 5x in two and a half years. Can't complain about that!

In the world of investing, there’s always that one stock that makes you think, “If I catch this one, I’ll be financially free.” Recently, $SUPER MICRO COMPUTER INC(SMCI)$ has given one investor exactly that feeling.A perfect dip-buy and inverse WSB: retirement is so close? Two weeks ago, a WSB investor timed the dip in SMCI perfectly and earn £289,384.58 (about $357,000). He believes the company remains strong and undervalued. As long as it successfully files its 10-K report and improves internal financial management, market confidence could be restored. He believes that if SMCI meets its earnings guidance, the stock could hit $150+ this year. He’s confident because this isn’t his first big win. Back during $Re
