Do You Usually Visit Malaysia on Weekends?

Singapore has long been known for its higher cost of living compared to Malaysia, as well as its higher salaries. Many Malaysians work in Singapore and return to Malaysia daily to save on living and dining expenses.

yes! not really during the weekends but most of the time i go during the weekdays as it's not as crowded. really enjoy being able to eat better quality food with less spending. the raising cost in singapore is really getting out of hands, and i am glad i could still go to jb and save more money! where do these savings go? into investment and trading of course, so good luck people!

$Malaysia BHD(MYPRF)$ 🛫🇳🇿 A Kiwi’s Dilemma: Malaysia Too Far! 🇲🇾🛬 I once went to Malaysia, it was quite the delight, from Singapore 🇸🇬 to KL 🇲🇾, the vibes were just right. Petronas Towers gleamed in the tropical sun ☀️, street food galore, oh, the satay was fun! 🍢 ..But here’s the rub, and it’s quite the plight, from New Zealand, the journey’s no quick flight. ✈️ A weekend jaunt? Mate, are you insane? I’d spend two days just on the plane! ✈️✈️😅, the curry laksa tempts, so rich and divine, 🥣 But 17 hours? That’s no way to dine!🍲🍜 And don’t get me started on jet lag’s grip, I’d need a week just to recover the trip! 😴 Malaysia’s fab,  no doubt it’s a gem, 💎 The Batu Caves, the flavours, a true diadem. 🕍 But sorry KL, you’re far too ex
Great place to get your monies worth , a place to save money by buying your groceries and also much better food consistency at the expense of crossing the world’s busiest land border .

I don’t visit Malaysia as I believe Singapore has everything I need. I don’t like jostling with the crowds or get stuck in the queue. I prefer eating in hawker centres and shopping in our local malls. Or buying things online like shopee or redmart as it gets delivered to your doorstep. There are plenty of stalls selling Malaysian food too.
On weekends I don't visit JB because of the traffic snarl. It is a waste of my life since time is part of our life which whatever money saved cannot retrieve back the moment lost in huge traffic jam.  I visit during weekdays once a month to eat my favourite dishes with different taste and flavour and to do massage which is definitely less costly than in Singapore.  I dislike driving in, fear of the jam and fear of window smashing and accident which is hard to resolve n claims difficulty. End results could be troublesome if it happens.  Hence I don't do groceries and don't pump petrol.  Clothings purchase are not extremely cheaper though, so are food in restaurants unless you eat coffee shops or stalls. Dim Sum however could be cheaper if you venture beyond KSL.  So

I visit Malaysia on weekends but not every weekend. I go there once every few months for good and cheap food, services such as massage, pedicure, manicure, hair cut and colour. Services are generally about half price of Singapore which makes it worthwhile to travel over. Clothes are also cheaper at Malaysia than Singapore. Clothes in value in Malaysia is the same as Singapore but in RM! Due to the exchange rate, price is about a third of Singapore. There is also outlet at Malaysia which makes buying branded goods easy.  I do know many Singaporeans go over for grocery shopping and to pump petrol. I don't do both as I find it risky to drive in and grocery shopping is too heavy to try to carry it over the causeway using public transport[Facepalm]
