      On a separate note, Singapore does have a role to play against the big bully, Donald Trump. While it may be true that Singapore is too small to stand alone and free trade is the lifeblood of Singapore's economy, giving in to bully, they will come back for more! It's not easy, but if Singapore can do what it does best to provide a platform for negotiation and cooperation between East and West (excludes US), Singapore will only grow stronger (together) with like-minded economies. There's also an opportunity to create alternate combined trading currencies backed by gold to gradually replace USD. How about this for a food for thought? [Happy] @Daily_Discussion @

      Retaliatory tariffs... The question is not if Singapore is smart not to impose a retaliatory tariff. It's about if Singapore is able to retaliate economically against US. We have to understand the context here. Singapore is a small island nation with no natural resources. What it lacks it made up for through sheer hard work from its people to arrive at today's prosperity. Singapore economy strives in an open economy environment. Therefore, Singapore had benefited greatly from a free trading world 🌍. With the second coming of Donald Trump brings chaos and a new dawn to the world of economic. The words, "protectionism" and "closed economy" seems to loom large in this new term. Much worse than his first. It appears he has already warmed up and ready to show his true colours.

      Post tariff relief rally? Numbers don't lie

      Be careful what you wish for. How many times have we watched the market or maybe Nvidia flying 🪽 and wished we could go back in time to hitch a ride? When the market comes crashing down, with Magnificent 7 leading the way down, how many of us actually buy it? If you did, have you actually scooped up some bargains, or are you catching the falling 🔪? No doubt many of us would ask the same question as we navigate the markets in these volatile times. Early false dawn appeared in last night's US session. Did you buy or sell anything? Today, the whole world's major markets staged a concerted rebound! So is this real? Or a falling 🔪? A bounce in the US market is definitely here! Numbers don't lie. We can see that in the charts below. RSIs are all in extremely oversold positions, which is expected

      $Tradr 2X Short TSLA Daily ETF(TSLQ)$ I have been wanting to do this for a looonnnnggg time! [Happy]  [Sly]  [Grin]   It's not about EV cars, isn't it? Or is it?! If you asked Tesla or Elon Musk's faithful supporters, many will tell you about innovative company or group of companies. They will value Tesla like an Apple 🍎🍏! But is it really an Apple 🍎🍏? When car sales go down, sales volume for storage batteries🔋 are simply not enough to make up for the shortfalls. Not to mention the yet-to-be released Optimus or robocab! Imagine if there's no buyers due to Elon Musk's new found DOGE hobby with his new ift on and off buddy, Donald Trump.  If you dig deeper, you will realise that Elon Musk has merely been

      Definitely SpaceX... given NASA and defence contracts like nobody biz... just like how Tesla was built... milking from US taxpayers... without US government biased support, the like of Elon Musk and his companies won't have existed... this is the real world, it's not what you know, but who you know to strive... Great job here!

      4 Stocks to Buy during Trump's presidency !

      @JC888
      Since the first days of the Trump administration, Elon Musk’s so-called Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has been everywhere in the federal government, moving fast and breaking things. In a matter of weeks, DOGE operatives have spread across dozens of government agencies as they have attempted to terminate tens of thousands of federal employees. With so much focus on where DOGE is going, WIRED wanted to take a beat to look at where they’ve come from and hopefully, that might reveal how they’re thinking about reshaping the federal government. Big takeaway: Many on the DOGE team are from Musk’s world. If Musk is America’s CEO, then DOGE has become his Silicon Valley executive branch. Scary isn’t it ! List of DOGE members Above is mapped out, non-exhaustive list of people affiliate

      There will be a time when enough is enough… have anyone ever wondered which country is the big soyabeans exporter? It’s Brazil! Why? Remember the last US-China trade war in Donald Trump first term? That’s why! Not even real historical reason… in the end who lose? American farmers… that’s how you bring America, gradually but surely down… we are witnessing history, the slow passing of an era right before our eyes. Not many can say they have witnessed the raise and fall of an empire. We can claim that! [Sly][Cool][Chuckle][Evil] Not sure if anyone will ever read this post though… 🤞🙏

      Word of the year... Tariff

      @Ah_Meng
      Did my new usual jog this afternoon. Weather remains nice, warm ☀️ with a cool breeze. My fitness struggle on the other hand continues. Enough of me... back to the fun stuff... tariffs! Every media I turned this morning was Tariffs! Have you ever wondered how the tariffs were calculated? Or are they simply numbers plucked from the sky? It's funny actually, but they did calculate... Just that the calculation is silly 😜... What they did was using the total trade balance divide by total imports from that country. For example, US imported a lot more from China, the above value works out to be 67%. That's the so-called 67% tariff China charged US! Why 34% tariff for China then? That is the so-called 50% discount! 😱🤯🙀 What silly nonsense? Did anyone ask why Russia is not in the

      Tariffs War has started, what's your move?

      In a tariffs war, nobody wins. Consumers are obviously the biggest losers. Americans, whose President started it, have more to lose. Here's the winners for day 1. Potential winners for day 2 and more... There are obviously many along the same line of thought. Shorts the big techs that have lots of imports and exports out of US as part of their supply chain. It's no wonder Warren Buffett had been cutting Apple 🍎🍏! He is as sharp as ever if you ask me. What is your move? Would you go into shorting big techs too? With leverage and all? Or will you be just twiddling your fingers and hoping that the whole saga will just die down and markets would just shoot all the way back up? Or go on a holiday and pretend nothing has been? Or maybe sell everything and wait it out? There are so many different
