[Earnings Season] Can TSMC Keep Rising in the AI Boom?
$Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing(TSM)$ will report its Q3 2025 earnings before the U.S. market opens on October 16 (Thursday).Analysts expect strong results — about NT$965.8 billion in revenue and NT$404.2 billion in profit (around US$13.5 billion).
🔍 What to Expect
AI demand is still booming. TSMC’s 3-nanometer chips are running at almost full capacity, and its advanced packaging lines are completely booked. Even with a stronger Taiwan dollar, most analysts think TSMC’s profit margin will stay above 55%. Overall profit may jump 28% from last year, hitting another record high.
Big banks like Morgan Stanley, Bank of America, and Barclays all raised their price targets to $330, calling TSMC the key winner in the global AI chip race.
Still, investors are watching for risks like U.S. tariffs and currency swings. There’s also talk about whether TSMC will raise its full-year outlook again and how fast its new Arizona factory will start production.
If results beat expectations, the stock could hit new highs. But if tariffs or currency issues hurt profits, we might see short-term volatility.
