The Set-and-Forget Strategy: What If I Just Never Checked My Stocks Again?

Sometimes I find myself wondering about an unconventional approach to investing, one that strips away all the noise, the constant updates, the endless temptation to tweak and sell and react. Imagine this: I open a trading account. I pick 10 stocks—carefully, or maybe not. Perhaps they’re companies I truly believe will shape the future, or maybe they’re simply solid businesses that have endured the test of time. Either way, I buy them. Then, I log out of the app… and delete it. Not just from my phone, but from my life. No checking prices. No tracking market news. No doomscrolling earnings reports. No reacting to daily swings that often mean nothing in the long run. I commit to a digital detox of my portfolio. Not for a few weeks or months but for 10 or even 20 years. It’s almost absurd, rig

Jensen Shared His Dream... What’s Yours If You Are Rich Enough?

In a recent interview, someone asked Jensen, “Now that you're so rich, do you still have any dreams?” His answer stayed with me. Jensen said he’s been financially independent for 25 years, and after becoming rich, he began devoting himself more fully to his family, his company, and helping others. It made me pause. And reflect. What would my dream look like if I were rich enough—very rich? If I had that level of wealth where I never had to worry about money again, my first instinct wouldn’t be to buy more things. It would be to give. I’d start by sharing with the people who’ve stood by me: family, close friends, mentors, those who’ve shaped my journey. Wealth, to me, isn’t complete if it can’t be shared with the people who matter. It’s not about “giving back” because I owe them something,

As cliché as it sounds, it's about spending more time with parents, closed friends. Make a will and leave some monies to charity, not the popular ones for they are well cover. More for those organizations eg. Chew Hong who really help the less fortunate and Affinity funeral who provide free ceremonial services for the aged who left this Earth by themselves. All of us came into the world with nothing, it's only logical to exit in the same state. Agree? To have the ability and time to take care of one's parent is a privilege...

      I Have A Dream - Koolgal's Edition

🌟🌟🌟I have a dream that one day, money will no longer be a master but a means.  A tool not for excess but for Freedom. I have a dream that one day, we will rise above the noise of market tickers and quarterly earnings and walk boldly into a life where time with loved ones is the highest dividend. I have a dream that one day, the pursuit of FIRE - Financial Independence Retire Early, will not be seen as an escape.  But as a rebellion against the tyranny of being busy with inconsequential things.  That we will no longer trade our best years for paychecks but invest in moments that compound in meaning.  I have a dream that one day  I will sit beneath the golden sun of Sentosa, not to check my portfolio but to watch my kids laugh, my friends gather and my heart rest.&nb

🌟🌟🌟If I am rich enough like Jensen Huang, my dream isn't yachts or private islands.  It is FREEDOM!  It is presence.  It is time.  Time to be with those who matter most.  Time to write boldly, live life to its maximum potential. Being rich enough means choosing  presence over productivity, depth over deadlines.  It is letting dividends buy dinner with old friends.  It is letting covered calls fund a fun filled holiday at Disney land with the kids.  It is also allowing my ETFs to bankroll a life that is filled with laughter, slow coffees, passionate love and moments that breathe. Money is Freedom doesn't mean luxury.  It means liberation from fear, from scarcity and from trading my soul for survival. Ultimately it means waking up and

If I achieved financial freedom, the first thing I would do is slow down and enjoy life. I imagine living in a peaceful, green city where I can wake up naturally, watch the clouds, and take long walks. I would spend more time with loved ones, play with my cat, and let each day unfold without stress. That kind of slow, mindful living is something I really look forward to. Purpose still matters to me, even without money worries. Like some friends planning to study abroad, I would love to go back to school and learn a subject I truly enjoy. Not for career reasons, but for personal growth and the joy of learning. Seeing people like Jensen Huang and Elon Musk stay driven after becoming rich is inspiring. It reminds me that success is not just about wealth, but building something meaningful. I

Jensen Huang’s clarity and Elon Musk’s acceleration both demonstrate that wealth amplifies, rather than replaces, purpose. Their drive didn’t fade with fortune—it grew sharper and more strategic. For me, financial independence doesn’t mean retiring your ambition—it means choosing where and how you invest your energy. I’d still keep a trading edge, but from rooftops in Lisbon, lunch tables in Kyoto, or cafés in Cape Town. The backdrop changes—but the hunger stays. And that’s the edge: Presence over retreat: work on your terms, not for survival. Legacy over leisure: use capital to build, teach, mentor—not vanish. Clarity over chaos: trades are clearer when life is richer. So: What would you do if money was no constraint? I’d love to see how this plays out here. Your insight could inspire th
