The walk up call came when my doctor told me that I was pre-diabetic after some blood tests. I knew I had to completely rewrite my lifestyle habits.  No more sweet sugary desserts & drinks. I enforced a hard 7pm dinner cutoff, introducing a daily fasting window that allows my body to burn stored fat overnight.  I restarted my gym sessions, turning physical exercises into a daily non negotiable habit. The returns on this investment on my health have been life changing and simply remarkable. By staying disciplined, I lost 10 kg & completely reversed the pre-diabetic trajectory. However the true compounding interest of this journey happened in

The best investment I made this year was my investment in genuine social connection. I took up Airsoft and spent money on gear to lend to friends who can now join me. I also took a gamble on going out to a disco, taking the bus in the freezing cold and putting myself out there in a way that my programming has long warned me against. I did spent some $80 on several nice drinks, one of which included brine and a pickle garnish (making it technically a snack), necessitating some financing.

My best investment is  $DBS(D05.SI)$ which I bought around SGD16 during the COVID crash and then swing traded from SGD20 to SGD25. The dividend yield on cost is ~19% now and capital appreciation ~460%.
