Market Overview Wall Street tumbled on Friday (Oct 16), with CoreWeave, Broadcom and other AI-related technology stocks under renewed pressure, while a jump in oil prices spooked traders heading into the weekend. The Nasdaq fell over 4% for the week, hammered by concerns that debt-laden AI infrastructure companies may not turn profits in time to repay debts, particularly with borrowing costs expected to rise. Regarding the options market, a total volume of 62,950,524 contracts was traded, of which 53% were call options. The market is sort of like a falling knife and I reckon there may be more downside at least till the end of the week when reversal rebound is likely to occur after all weak hands have had their stock sold. Will start to accumulate Meta, Google and MSFT or VOO before reversal.

bought qqqi, spyi and smh. Cos those prices of the stocks had reached by target to add on. i guess ive bought the dip for this time round. but will still continue to monitor the prices and market. Still keeping some cash in case theres further opportunity to scoop more stocks. Anyway, the market still shaky, hence do not go all in at once, separate the bullet in a few tranches to spread the risk and also diversification.

This market is providing very good opportunities to buy quality companies. I have been buying Mapletree Industrial Trust and ComfortDelGro, both of which have dropped substantially and offer very good dividend returns. They are established companies in Singapore and I want a piece of the business to ride through this rough patch and rise with the company when the economy recovers! Diversification is key and commitment is needed.

🐯 Wall Street’s Upgrade & Downgrade Radar: The Biggest Analyst Calls of the Week

Hey Tigers! 🐯 Another week, another round of Wall Street analysts reassessing their favorite stocks. From AI software and semiconductor infrastructure to consumer brands and media companies, analysts sent mixed signals about where they see the biggest opportunities — and risks. Some companies received significant upgrades and higher price targets, while others faced growing concerns about valuations and future growth. Let's break down some of the week's most notable analyst calls from October 12–16, 2026! 👇 📅 Monday, Oct. 12: Salesforce Gets a Major AI-Era Upgrade 🤖 Stock Firm Rating Change Price Target 🟢 $Salesforce.com(CRM)$ $Bank of America(BAC)$ Underperform → Buy $285 🔴
🐯 Wall Street’s Upgrade & Downgrade Radar: The Biggest Analyst Calls of the Week
TOPShyon: I am most interested in $Salesforce.com(CRM)$ because I believe AI could strengthen established enterprise software companies rather than simply replace them. Salesforce already has a strong customer base, valuable business data and deeply integrated workflows, giving it potential advantages in the AI era. However, I will not buy simply because $Bank of America(BAC)$ upgraded the stock to Buy with a $285 price target. I want to see clear evidence that its AI products can generate meaningful incremental revenue and earnings growth, rather than just increasing costs and expectations. For me, the key is whether Salesforce can turn its AI capabilities into sustainable monetization. I remain selective with software stocks, as attractive long-term potential must still be supported by reasonable valuations and solid fundamentals. @TigerStars @TigerClub @Tiger_comments @WallStreet_Tiger

Buying the Dip? Lessons from My TTD Wipeout, Before I Look at Tesla I'll be real: TTD cost me a lot more than a few kopi runs and chicken rice. Great company, great story, so I bought the dip, then bought the next one. Then earnings came and it dropped 30%+ in a single day. The business wasn't broken. I paid a "must be perfect" price for a company that only had to miss once. Lesson one: a great company is not the same as a great entry price. Now Tesla has just shown a Roadster that flies on cold-gas thrusters, jumping over cars and doing a barrel roll. Production is promised for 2028, flying on public roads isn't permitted, and Roadster dates have slipped since 2017. Here in Singapore, where a COE alone can cost more than a car overseas, nobody is flying anywhere soon. 😄 So I'm not buying

AI Stocks Are Selling Off, but Meta Plans to Spend Up to $145B: Will Wall Street Keep Funding the AI

The AI trade is facing one of its biggest tests yet. Last week, the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index fell roughly 11%, as investors grew increasingly concerned about AI infrastructure financing, elevated valuations and whether massive capital spending could eventually generate sufficient returns. Yet just as Wall Street begins questioning the economics of AI, Meta is preparing to report its Q3 earnings on October 21. And the company has already outlined an extraordinary spending plan: $130 billion to $145 billion in capital expenditures for 2026. That creates an interesting contradiction. AI infrastructure stocks are getting punished for spending too much, while Meta is preparing to defend one of the largest AI investment programs in the industry. So the real question going into earnings i
AI Stocks Are Selling Off, but Meta Plans to Spend Up to $145B: Will Wall Street Keep Funding the AI
TOP苏36: I choose ②, but with one caveat: Meta's advertising cash flow is its biggest advantage, not a blank check for unlimited AI spending. Meta generated $60.8 billion in Q2 revenue, up 28% year over year, yet free cash flow plunged to $784 million as capital expenditure reached $31.08 billion. That is the uncomfortable reality behind the AI boom. Unlike heavily leveraged AI infrastructure providers, Meta has billions of users and an established advertising engine. AI can improve targeting, increase engagement and generate more revenue from its existing ecosystem. However, spending up to $145 billion in 2026 raises the stakes. Revenue growth alone will not justify the investment if cash flow keeps deteriorating. My view:Meta deserves a premium for monetizing AI, but not an unlimited premium for spending on it.The real winner will be the company that turns AI computing power into measurable earnings growth, not the one that buys the most GPUs. @Tiger_comments [正经]

Memory Crushed, AI Chips Rallied. Is Semiconductor Money Rotating Internally? The Answer Came Three Days Later Written Saturday 17 Oct, SGT, using Friday's US closes. First, check the date on the numbers The figures in this topic are real, but they come from Tuesday, Oct 13. That day Nvidia closed up 0.97% at $228.52, AMD rose 1.90% to $605.53 and Intel gained 1.44% to $102.81. Micron fell 3.62% to $953.19, its fourth straight loss, after China's CXMT said it plans to launch a 4F2 DDR5 server memory module by year-end. On that one session, it did look like rotation: money leaving memory and moving into compute. Now look at what happened over the next three sessions. The scoreboard: Tuesday close to Friday close - Nvidia: $228.52 to $214.13, -6.30% - Micron: $953.19 to $878.84, -7.80% - Bro

TOPShawnLLS: sector wide de-risking. Why logic chips couldn't escape The bull argument is that compute demand isn't tied to memory pricing and that logic chip orders are more visible. That's true at the product level. It misses one thing: memory and logic chips are sold to the same customers out of the same budget. Every HBM stack Micron and SK Hynix sell sits next to a GPU from Nvidia or AMD, inside a data center paid for by hyperscaler capex. When the market starts asking whether that spending can be financed, it doesn't separate the two. It sells both. Three things put that funding question on the table this week: 1. Rates. September CPI came in at 3.7% against 3.6% expected, and PPI jumped 1.3% against 0.5% expected. CME pricing put December hike odds at 74.3%, up from 50.2% a month earlier. The 10-year yield sits at 5.09%. Higher rates make data centers more expensive to build. 2. AI credit. CoreWeave fell 11.91% on Friday to $61.39 and 25.21% for the week. Its 2032 notes yield about 14%

PCAR — The Business Behind America’s Trucking Industry

Everyone talks about technology stocks, but what about the companies moving goods across the economy? Today’s pick is $PACCAR Inc(PCAR)$ , the manufacturer behind Kenworth, Peterbilt and DAF trucks. Its business is closely linked to freight demand, fleet replacement and economic activity. 💡 Why put PCAR on your watchlist? 📦 Freight is essential: Businesses still need trucks to move food, materials and consumer goods, regardless of which technology trend dominates the market. 🚚 Replacement demand: Commercial trucks eventually need replacing. When fleet operators regain confidence, new orders can support manufacturers. 🔧 More than truck sales: PACCAR also generates revenue from parts and financial services, giving it several sources of income.
PCAR — The Business Behind America’s Trucking Industry
TOPBarbaraWillard: I lean B. Fleet age is the piece I watch most — when trucks get older, replacement demand can snap back fast even before freight fully heals.

Navigating the Producer Price Surge: Sector Rotation and Portfolio Strategy in a Higher-for-Longer Environment

A surging month-over-month Producer Price Index (PPI)—such as the recent 1.3% monthly jump driven by sticky energy and core wholesale costs—signals rising input pressures and keeps Federal Reserve "higher-for-longer" or tightening expectations alive. In this article we would like to share an analytical assessment of wholesale inflation dynamics, Federal Reserve policy calibration, and portfolio repositioning out of high-multiple growth into defensive pricing power. 1. The PPI Shock: Dissecting the 1.3% Surge and Fed Implications The recent 1.3% month-over-month leap in the Producer Price Index represents a critical inflection point in the inflation narrative. While consumer-facing CPI measures often exhibit lagged stickiness, the PPI serves as a leading indicator for aggregate margin press

🎁 What the Tigers Say | Tesla’s Roadster Spectacle Meets Q3 Reality: Innovation, Valuation, or Dist

Hi Tigers 🐯, Welcome to "What the Tigers say." 👋 Tesla’s quarterly earnings and Roadster reveal have Tigers weighing delivery performance against its robotics, autonomy, and engineering ambitions. The debate spans operational resilience, rocket-inspired technology, and competition from Chinese automakers. Before today's session played out, the community was already doing the heavy lifting. Let's rewind to the three sharpest takes from @JC888 (https://ttm.financial/personal/3570103090255456/), @Shernice軒嬣 2000 (https://ttm.financial/personal/3560184106659134/), and @Kentzw (https://ttm.financial/personal/4252393041885622/): JC888 | TSLA Q3 : from EVs to Robotics, AI & FSD ?
🎁 What the Tigers Say | Tesla’s Roadster Spectacle Meets Q3 Reality: Innovation, Valuation, or Dist
TOPJerry Lam: I agree more with @Kentzw's point of view. The Roadster's technological display is indeed impressive, but I think Tesla's biggest challenge right now is not proving how advanced a car it can build, but how to translate its technological advantages into sustainable profitability. Chinese automakers are competing for market share through cost control, intelligent driving, and the speed of product iteration. If Tesla continues to invest heavily in the Roadster, Optimus, and Robotaxi without improving its automotive business gross margin, its long-term valuation will face pressure. However, I don't think the Roadster is just a marketing gimmick. It can serve as a testing platform for new technologies, and its real value lies in whether the relevant technologies can be applied to mass-produced vehicles in the future. There are three key factors that changed my judgment: ① The gross profit margin of automobiles continues to rebound; ② FSD and Robotaxi achieve verifiable, large-scale commercial revenue; ③Optimus has moved from demonstration to practical applications with cost advantages. ** I remain optimistic about Tesla's technological potential, but technological leadership does not equate to commercial success. What will determine TSLA's valuation in the future is not how high the Roadster can fly, but how much free cash flow these innovations can ultimately generate. 🐯
