Tesla Q3 Earnings: Pushing Toward 400

1. Basics: Robotaxi Supports Valuation, Cash Flow Is the Test Tesla reports Q3 2026 after the close on Oct 21. The market's focus has shifted from car sales to Robotaxi commercialization, energy growth, and return on AI spending. Deliveries hit 486,532, about 5% above consensus, but the market still needs to see auto margins improve. Robotaxi: The Austin Cybercab fleet grew from about 37 to over 300 in 30 days, and driverless miles passed 1 million. Commercial progress is improving, but utilization, safety, and unit economics still need proof. Autos and FSD: High gas prices make EVs cheaper to run, and North America FSD attach rate is 55%. Future growth depends on regulatory approval and paid conversion. Energy: 2026 storage deployment is expected at 55.2 GWh, with energy gross margin arou

VOO - Buffett's Risky winning ETF bet ? Buy ?

Warren Buffett has spent decades building one of the most complex investment portfolios in the world. $Berkshire Hathaway(BRK.B)$ owns railroads, insurance companies, fast-food chains and consumer brands. Its operating earnings topped $44.5 billion in fiscal year 2025. His advice to ordinary investors looks nothing like that portfolio. Buffett has repeated the same recommendation for years, and it does not involve picking stocks, timing markets or hiring expensive money managers. In his 2013 letter to Berkshire shareholders, Buffett wrote that his estate’s trustee should put 90% of cash in a very low-cost S&P 500index fund, naming Vanguard specifically. The fund in this instruction is the $Vanguard S&

🌟It is incredibly tempting to chase the 1.21% green day for Nasdaq100 but buying the index right now means you are blindingly absorbing the risks.  The Valuation Reality Check:  Big Tech is priced for perfection.  For example $Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ is currently trading at a P/E ratio of over 200x. The Capex Anxiety is Real:  The market's main fear isn't that AI demand is weak.  It is that tech giants are spending massive amounts of money to build it.  Wall Street wants to see exact revenue realisation, not just promises. A Volatility Minefield: Options markets are pricing in massive implied swings this week.    Buying

My pick is Micron ($MU). While Nvidia dominates the AI computing narrative, memory could become an equally important bottleneck. AI accelerators need high-bandwidth memory (HBM) to process massive workloads efficiently, making memory availability and pricing critical to the AI supply chain. What makes Micron interesting is its earnings leverage. When supply remains tight and demand grows, stronger pricing can translate into substantial profit growth. However, memory is cyclical: capacity expansion can weaken pricing and compress margins. The key is whether AI demand grows fast enough for Micron to convert it into sustainable cash flow. Nvidia may win the headlines, but Micron could offer greater earnings sensitivity to the memory shortage. My verdict: MU offers an attractive rebound thesi

GTC can strengthen my conviction in Nvidia’s long-term story, but I would still want earnings numbers before becoming significantly more bullish. Jensen Huang’s keynote could provide important signals on the next computing roadmap, AI infrastructure demand, agents and physical AI. However, announcements and partnerships ultimately need to translate into revenue, margins and sustained data-centre growth. The recent pullback being driven by leveraged-position unwinding rather than deteriorating fundamentals would be encouraging, but valuation still matters after Nvidia’s strong run. So I’m watching GTC for the direction of the next growth cycle, while earnings remain the real confirmation. A compelling roadmap may improve sentiment quickly, but numbers showing strong demand and monetisation

I would pick electrical-grid construction for the strongest long-term potential. Semiconductors remain essential to AI, but expectations and valuations are already high, while rapid technology cycles create competitive risk. Power-generation equipment should also benefit, but demand can be more dependent on individual projects and capacity additions. Grid infrastructure looks like a broader bottleneck. AI data centres require enormous amounts of reliable electricity, and that means more substations, transmission lines, transformers and grid connections. Importantly, these investments can benefit not only AI but also electrification and general growth in power demand. Companies such as Quanta Services therefore interest me as a “picks and shovels” approach to the AI build-out. I would stil

My vote: B. Micron ($MU). Nvidia remains the strongest AI leader, but expectations are already extremely high. For a continued rebound, I think Micron offers an interesting combination of HBM growth and a broader memory-cycle recovery. AI servers require significantly more high-performance memory, so expanding HBM demand could support Micron’s revenue and margins. At the same time, stronger DRAM pricing would provide another earnings tailwind beyond HBM alone. The main risk is that memory remains cyclical. If competitors add capacity too aggressively, pricing could weaken again. But if HBM demand stays strong while conventional memory supply remains disciplined, Micron could still have meaningful earnings upside. For rebound potential rather than simply picking the strongest company, my c

I would choose B: Perfect Exit. Buying at the absolute bottom would be amazing, but I do not think a perfect entry is necessary to make a good investment. If the fundamentals are strong, buying reasonably close to the bottom can still produce excellent returns. Knowing the exact top seems far more valuable. It eliminates one of the hardest decisions in investing: deciding when optimism has gone too far. I could let winners run without worrying about selling too early, then exit before the reversal. My worst attempts at market timing usually come from waiting for an even better entry. Sometimes the market rebounds before my target is reached, and I end up buying higher or missing the opportunity altogether. So definitely B for me. I can tolerate an imperfect entry, but give me the perfect

My pick is PTC Therapeutics for the best balance of growth and risk. Belite Bio has an exciting near-term FDA catalyst, while Trevi Therapeutics and COMPASS Pathways could offer substantial long-term upside if their pipelines succeed. However, these opportunities carry greater clinical and regulatory risk. PTC already has commercial products and growing revenue, giving investors clearer fundamentals to evaluate. I would watch whether sales growth translates into stronger margins and cash flow. Belite may have greater short-term upside on a positive FDA decision, but for the most compelling overall investment case, I prefer PTC’s combination of commercial traction and future growth potential.

I believe electrical infrastructure and power generation will become increasingly important as AI data centers expand. Semiconductor companies may capture the initial excitement, but reliable electricity is essential to sustain AI growth. Among the three, I would keep $Quanta(PWR)$ on my watchlist for its exposure to grid expansion, while $Caterpillar(CAT)$ and $Cummins(CMI)$ also offer opportunities in power generation and backup systems. I would watch earnings delivery first, followed by trading participation and price momentum. Bitcoin's recovery is encouraging, but weaker spot trading volume suggests that market sentiment has not fully translated into stronger business activity for $Coinbase Global, Inc.(COIN)$ . I think Coinbase has long-term potential as crypto adoption expands and its product offerings diversify. However, higher marketing expenses and earnings volatility remain concerns. The $250 price target is worth considering, but I would not rely on analyst forecasts alone when making investment decisions. For me, confirmation matters more than anticipation. I would choose $Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ for the next year. While SpaceX’s AI growth is impressive, Tesla offers multiple growth drivers through FSD, Robotaxi, Optimus humanoid robots and energy storage, beyond its traditional automotive business. The potential $SpaceX(SPCX)$ merger is worth watching, but without confirmed terms, I would not invest based on speculation alone. SpaceX’s rapid expansion also comes with substantial capital expenditure, making cash flow and execution important factors. I would choose A, Perfect Entry. Buying a good company at a lower price gives me a better cost basis and more room for long-term returns. Of course, nobody can consistently predict the absolute bottom, so I prefer dollar-cost averaging and adding on pullbacks rather than trying to time the market perfectly. My worst attempt at timing the market was buying too early during a dip, only to watch the stock fall further. It taught me that even when the long-term thesis is right, the entry price still matters, and patience is essential. These days, I focus more on fundamentals, technical support levels and risk management. I would rather build a position gradually and stay disciplined than chase the perfect entry. For me, consistency beats perfection in the long run.

Macro Strategy: Reversal or Dead Cat Bounce? Why Selling Puts Still Makes Sense

Weekly Report: Key Views Hello everyone, and welcome to another edition of our Macro Strategy Weekly. Each issue features market strategy insights from selected contributors with relevant professional expertise. We also track how these views perform each week. Goldman Upgraded CoreWeave. Nebius Got the Bounce. Why the Neocloud Split Is About Balance Sheets, Not Demand Written Tuesday 20 Oct, SGT, using Monday's US closes. What happened on Monday Goldman Sachs analyst Gabriela Borges upgraded CoreWeave to Buy from Neutral. Usually that's enough to move a stock that's down 25% in a week. It wasn't. - CoreWeave: up about 2.2% intraday to $62.74, then reversed to close down 0.44% at $61.12 - Nebius: closed up 2.88% at $170.24, after rising as much as 4.64% intraday on a reiterated Truist Buy rating with a $355 target That's a gap of about 3.3 percentage points in one session between two companies that, a week earlier, traded as the same stock. Last week CoreWeave fell 25.21% and Nebius fell 25.15%, almost exactly the same. So the split started on Mo

The Number That Wasn't the Story: SpaceX's First Profit and the Merger That May Change Everything

The indices: Dow up, Nasdaq flat, a split that maps onto earnings week The three indices diverged on Tuesday: the $Dow Jones(.DJI)$ rose 1.02 per cent to 52,495.88; the $S&P 500(.SPX)$ rose 0.28 per cent to 7,712.57; the $NASDAQ(.IXIC)$ was nearly unchanged, closing down 0.02 per cent at 26,424.82. The 10-year Treasury yield settled at 5.12 per cent. The Dow–Nasdaq split tracks the shape of this week's reporting calendar: technology names started spreading risk before the numbers are in, some moving forward, some pulling back. The Number That Wasn't the Story: SpaceX's First Profit and the Merger That May Change Everything
TOP吉3186: Not necessarily. Requiring approval from 50% of all outstanding shares indicates a high transaction threshold, but this does not mean that the probability of a successful transaction is very low. Simple understanding: 1. There must be enough people to support it: It's not just about those who count the votes, but about reaching 50% of all outstanding shares, which is more difficult. 2. Valuation is key: If the merger price is reasonable, Tesla shareholders may support it; If the dilution is too severe, shareholders may object. 3. Not yet reached: The special committees of both sides are still assessing the situation, the terms of the transaction have not been determined, and there is no guarantee that a final agreement will be reached. My judgment At present, the probability of a successful merger cannot be reliably judged. What really matters is the upcoming valuation, share swap ratio, and how much benefit Tesla shareholders will ultimately receive. Investment alert: Don't chase TSLA high because of merger rumors. Even if the merger is successful, it does not necessarily mean that the stock price will rise.

$CIFR 20261023 8.0 PUT$ My view is cautious despite the potentially attractive AI-data-centre conversion story for Cipher Mining Inc. (CIFR) watchlist . The stock is no longer simply a Bitcoin miner: the investment case depends on converting its Texas power sites into HPC/AI hosting capacity. That may create a more contracted, less Bitcoin-sensitive revenue stream—but the current financials show this transition is capital-intensive and not yet self-funding. What is working Cipher reported that its first HPC data-centre capacity at Black Pearl was delivered two months early and had begun generating rent; it also said work at Barber Lake and Stingray was progressing. That is the central proof point for the AI-hosting thesis.
