🎉 Teacher’s Day Special: Which Teacher Left the Deepest Impression on You?
No matter where we are in the world, teaching is always one of the most respected professions.
In Singapore, Teacher’s Day falls on September 5, while in China, we celebrate it on September 10. 👩🏫👨🏫
A teacher isn’t just someone in the classroom — they can also be a friend, a parent, a stranger on the internet, or even an AI that suddenly appeared — like GPT or DeepSeek. As long as they bring us growth and inspiration, they can be considered our “teacher.”
When it comes to investing, do you have a “stock teacher” you’ve always followed in the Tiger Community?
It could be an expert who helps you read earnings reports, a veteran who teaches you to stay calm during market swings, or even legends like Buffett or Soros — whose wisdom has become our teacher, even if we’ve never met them. 📈
📌 Today, I’d love to ask everyone:
On this special day, which teacher comes to mind first?
Who is your favorite “stock teacher”? Would you recommend them to others?
Do you have a message of thanks you’d like to share with your teacher?
💬 Drop your thoughts in the comments! Let’s talk about the teachers who’ve inspired us most.

I don’t have a specific favour ‘stock teacher’ as different ‘masters’ have different strengths and have teach various topics with varying effectiveness. If I am interested in a specific topic, I will read or listen to YouTube videos on different ones to gain understanding from different perspectives.
To the various teachers in my life, I want to thank them for inspiring me to continue on lifelong learning, the ability to look at a problem from different perspectives and to solve problems with different approaches.

That is why Charlie Munger is the teacher that has made the biggest impact on my style of investing. I have learnt patience and that time in the market is more important than timing the market.
Thank you Charlie Munger, you have made a difference in my life.

I also see my own trading journey as a teacher. The best lessons come from actual experience — making trades, learning from mistakes, and reflecting on both wins and losses. Each outcome has shaped how I manage risk and spot opportunities. Over time, these lessons have built the foundation of my confidence in the market.
Lastly, I’m grateful for my group of trading colleagues. We exchange ideas, challenge views, and share insights regularly. Their support keeps me grounded during volatile times. Along with the Tiger Community and my own journey, they’ve all become teachers who continue to guide and inspire me.

Maybe by having good Maths foundation, I tended to be very analytical/systematic when I m doing my work. In a way, it helps in my stocks purchase. [LOL][Happy][Smile][Chuckle]

But thanks to him, I now spot scams faster than a cat spots a laser pointer.
He taught me everything—mostly what not to do.
So technically… he did his job. Just backwards. 😎

I am a business admin degree holder. My degree is owned to all teachers from kindergarten to university. They shape me one way or the other.
I am so dying for investing knowledges. Now with social media. Teachers can be YouTube teachers. X teachers. Tigers & her AI. And so on. I owned it all you teachers. Without you. I cannot reach who I am.
A note of thanks: to every mentor (human or book) who reminded me that patience often pays better than speed, and that protecting capital is the real test of skill. The market may hand out harsh grades, but thanks to good teachers, at least we’re better prepared for the exam.
2. My favorite stock teacher is warren buffret, i will recommend to my friend and my connection
3. Thank you, Warren Buffett, for your wisdom, discipline, and lifelong dedication to sharing knowledge that has inspired millions of investors around the world.
