$SPX Final Push to 7,865–7,900 Before a Sharp Reversal?

I’m looking for early strength this week, followed by a pullback toward last week’s low, then one final extension higher. 🎯 Final upside targets $S&P 500(.SPX)$ : 7,865–7,900 $SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust(SPY)$ : 783.50–787 That’s the zone where I expect the final 5th wave to terminate and the ending diagonal to complete. But the reversal signal matters more than the target. 🚨 The trigger to watch $SPX daily close below 7,754 Equivalent $SPY level: 772.65 A daily close below that threshold would trigger my sell signal and point to the start of a sharp move lower. The plan: Watch for early strength, let the final extension develop, and stay alert for confirmation of the reversal. The upside targets are co

$SPY Big Week Ahead 📈 CPI + PPI Could Trigger a Gamma Squeeze Toward $785

BIG WEEK for $SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust(SPY)$ ! 🔥 Two major inflation catalysts are coming: Wednesday: CPI Thursday: PPI I’m looking for softer inflation readings, which could strengthen expectations for a Fed rate cut on October 28. If both CPI and PPI come in cooler than expected, markets could reprice rate-cut expectations quickly and fuel a massive gamma squeeze. 🎯 Upside target: $SPY $785 The setup is there, but the inflation data needs to cooperate. Hotter-than-expected numbers could flip the script just as quickly. Watch the data. Watch the reaction. If inflation comes in soft and momentum builds, $785 could come into play. 🚀 Markets are always moving - and sometimes, the best move is knowing what works for you. With Treasury yields, oil pr

WALL STREET BOUNCES BACK - BUT A NEW BATTLE IS EMERGING

The AI scare fades. The telecom war begins. After Thursday’s AI-driven sell-off, Wall Street came roaring back on Friday. Investors reassessed concerns surrounding OpenAI’s growth and stepped back into the market, helping major indexes recover. Nasdaq Composite: +0.64% $S&P 500(.SPX)$ : +0.59% Dow Jones: +0.83% (+423 points) The Nasdaq recovered from Thursday’s 1.3% drop and secured its fourth consecutive weekly gain. The S&P 500 finished the week up 1.2%. The message? One day of fear wasn’t enough to derail the broader rally. OPENAI FEARS, BUY THE DIP? Reports about slower-than-expected revenue growth at OpenAI rattled confidence in AI spending. But the story proved more nuanced, giving investors enough reassurance to buy the dip.

The Shifting Mechanics of Market Crashes: Why Blue Chips Plunge Overnight

If you have watched a mature, fundamentally sound mega-cap company shed a huge % of  its market value in a single trading session over a modest earnings miss, you have witnessed the evolution of modern market structure. Billionaire investor Bill Ackman recently pointed to a profound structural shift in how prices are set: Passive capital has locked up the float, and heavily levered short-term traders dictate the margins. The Passive Vault Effect Passive index funds and ETFs now control over half of all mutual fund and ETF assets. For major U.S. corporations, institutions like Vanguard and State Street routinely own a massive chunk of the total shares outstanding. Because these funds mechanically buy the index and virtually never sell based on quarterly fundamentals, a vast portion of

Before You Size Up, Score the Market Environment First

A perfect setup on an individual ticker means very little if the broader environment isn’t cooperating. Before increasing exposure, I run through 5 things: 1️⃣ Index strength Did $SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust(SPY)$ and/or $Invesco QQQ(QQQ)$ put in a strong weekly close? 2️⃣ Macro catalysts What events, economic data, or holidays could affect liquidity and volatility? 3️⃣ Market breadth What are $RSP and the percentage of stocks above their 50-day SMA telling us? 4️⃣ Leadership + speculation Are market leaders acting well? Is speculative appetite holding up in $BTC and growth stocks? 5️⃣ Headwinds What are the 10-year yield, oil, VIX, and the news flow doing? 📍 My read from Sunday night’s review: $SPY had a st

How I Use Trailing Stops to Capture More of the Move

First, WHY I use trailing stops. Scenario 1: You hold through weeks of chop. The stock finally breaks out, you sell to lock in gains… and it rips another 50% over the next month. Scenario 2: You build a great thesis, do the research, and enter. The stock turns against you, but you hesitate because “it can still work.” A month later, you’re down 25%. The common point of failure? The sell button. I used to sell too early on the way up and wait too long to get out on the way down. Both were frustrating. Trailing stops helped me take the emotion out of that decision. In my view, they’re one of the most underutilized tools in trading. Here’s my approach 👇 1️⃣ Calculate the stock’s ATR% ATR, or Average True Range, measures typical price movement. I use the 14-day ATR divided by the current share

90+ SMIDs Draw Institutional Buying Amid Bank-Led Outflows

Amid close to S$900 million of net institutional outflow from the market last week, 93 small- and mid-capitalisation (SMID) stocks recorded combined net institutional inflow of S$113 million. Large caps $JMH USD(J36.SI)$ , $ST Engineering(S63.SI)$ , $Sembcorp Ind(U96.SI)$ , $Singtel(Z74.SI)$ , $CapLand IntCom T(C38U.SI)$ $HongkongLand USD(H78.SI)$ and $JMSEA(C07.SI)$ also recorded net institutional inflow. Among the SMID stocks that booked net institutional inflow last week,
90+ SMIDs Draw Institutional Buying Amid Bank-Led Outflows
TOP苏36: The most interesting signal in Singapore's market is not the S$900 million institutional outflow, but where the money is going. AEM Holdings attracted S$61 million in net institutional inflows, accounting for more than half of the S$113 million flowing into 93 SMIDs. Its AI/HPC testing business is gaining traction, with 1H2026 revenue rising 29.9% year-on-year and FY2026 revenue guidance raised to S$630–680 million. However, institutional buying is not a guarantee of future returns. AEM's earnings rebound is impressive, but investors must determine how much future growth is already priced in. The bigger lesson? When banks face selling pressure, capital may rotate towards companies with improving earnings momentum. Yetfollow the fundamentals, not just the money. I would watch earnings delivery, margins and customer concentration before chasing the inflow. @SGX_Stars [财迷]

DRAM Is in a Bear Market. I Am Concerned, But I Am Not Calling the Memory Supercycle Dead Yet.

Memory investors are getting nervous, and understandably so. Micron is now around $1,003, more than 18% below its recent high. SanDisk has fallen toward $1,548. SK Hynix remains under pressure, while leveraged memory trades have been hit much harder. After such a powerful run, an 18% drop can feel like the market is telling us something serious. Maybe it is. But I think we need to separate three very different things: A stock correction. A conventional DRAM downturn. A breakdown of the AI memory thesis. They are not the same. Right now, I see evidence of the first two concerns. I do not yet see enough evidence for the third. Why Has MU Fallen So Much? The uncomfortable answer is that the memory story became almost too successful. Investors spent months buying the same thesis: AI demand is

📈 The Earnings Test: Will Strong Profits Be Enough to Keep Stocks Rising?

Wall Street is heading into earnings season with a difficult question: What happens if companies deliver strong results, but investors have already priced in even better news? Last week’s rally pushed the Nasdaq and S&P 500 close to record levels. Now, the focus shifts from market optimism to actual business performance. I’m watching three signals this week. 🏦 1. Banks: Look Beyond the Headline Numbers Results from $JPM, $WFC and other major banks will offer clues about the health of the US economy. The important details aren’t just earnings per share. I’m watching credit card delinquencies, loan-loss provisions and management’s comments on consumer spending. If profits are strong but loan defaults start rising, the market may question how sustainable those earnings really are. 🧠 2. TS

🎨 Why Adobe’s Stock Is Taking a Hit: The ArtCraft Threat Explained 📉 If you've been following the market, you might have noticed Wall Street giving Adobe$Adobe(ADBE)$   a hard time again.
